For the Europeans it is a little more complicated.
Anti-Semitism is embedded in the Europeans for ages old.
More recently it is part of the International Socialist thinking that colonialism is evil. The Arabs have used that theory to their advantage and called the Jews invaders/colonialist. Even though the Jews existed in Palestine long before the Arab/Muslims did; in fact the Muslims are the invaders in Palestine.
So it is ancient anti-Semitism and anti-colonialism/international socialism that drives the European hatred of Israel.

I suppose if we look at it through your lens of ‘peace’ North America is a pretty nice place to live. We’re lucky.
‘Palestinians’ have higher levels of education and income and longer life expectancy than their other Muslim neighbors. Mostly due to the presence of the State of Israel.
I’ve said for a while now that I fully expect to see concentration camps in Europe in my lifetime. The only question is who will be running them.
I am not at all happy to be making this prediction.

Their “detention centers” already have people locked up for 1½ years or more without representation (e.g. Lampedusa of the Pelagie Islands, the former Butlin’s amusement park in Mosney, Ireland; lots of others). Those would be very easily convertible into concentration camps.
