Remember Obama and Eric Holders attack on Gibson Guitars? Back in 2009 the Obama regime raided Gibson Guitars and demanded that its woodwork labor be done overseas. The original excuse by the Obama regime for their raid on Gibson Guitars was environmental concerns. Court documents however, revealed that the raid and legal hassles were from a non-environmental question which country is working on the wood? Thats right, the Obama regime wanted the fingerboards produced outside the U.S. In something that was overlooked at the time but makes a lot more sense now, the Gibson Guitars CEO Henry E. Juszkiewicz is a Republican donor.
When the BS about the wood came up as an excuse from the Obama regime to attack Gibson Guitars, the corrupt media never mentioned that Gibsons competitors used the exact same wood and faced no problems from the government.
Gibson CEO Henry Juskiewicz became widely known after he reacted to the raid by protesting his companys innocence of running afoul of arcane restrictions (the case here hinged on the degree the wood was finished in India, not whether it was endangered or illegally harvested) in the pages of national newspapers and in Senate hearings held by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).
BTT. What did the President know and when did he know it?
What did Obama know, and when did he stop knowing it?
That’s the question I always ask myself.
I suggest a special prosecutor, tout suite. Boehner, your move. Your country is calling you.
On the same vein, remember the arrest of the Hutaree militia in Michigan? The regime thought they finally found their white Christian terrorists, and arranged for their white faces to splash across the news as the msm was smearing the tea party as violent racists and potential terrorists. Most if not all charges were thrown out, maybe one or two still pending (and if still pending will be thrown out). These were political arrests.
Just add this to the growing list of scandals, uh, “controversies.”
The term 'common criminal' keeps coming to mind... is that what this administration is? A bunch of common criminals?
Common criminals with uncommon power. Like a little kid who just found his father’s gun.
When they came for Gibson...and we did nothing. Now look at us. Damn near all over...but I’ve got stock in crying towels. I have never felt so upset about my country as I do these days.
Just like the GM and Chryco dealerships that got nuked by Steve “the rat” Rattner......
All those GM dealers Obama closed need to get together and hire a good lawyer, because its pretty clear now they had their businesses shut down because of their politics
Yes, I do remember. A year, two years? of investigations, incarcerations, detainment’s, etc. pretty much ruined the militia members financially and reputation-wise - as I recall.
Who can match resources with the Fed’s and win? Even if they are in the right?
I suggest a million-(well armed)man march on D.C. telling them all to “get out”
Who’d turn Gipson in?
Why?
Need to be able to find the link between the targeted and the targeter!
What or who triggers the audit?
I’ve heard Congress is going to revisit those closings - several of the owners of closed dealerships were elected on Tea Party platforms!
Using a purloined “donor list” as a political “hit list”.
Becoming a common theme.
Gibson made a limited number of guitars from the wood that was confiscated and then returned by the government. They call it the “Government Series” and they made 300 Les Pauls in a color called government gray. I’m a proud owner of one of these guitars. I was going to buy a Fender at first, but after the government’s assault on Gibson, I changed my mind and bought a Les Paul.
I actually read Rattner’s book.
The funny part is the one congress person he mentions who was a big pain in the @ss fighting the closings was Gabby Giffords.
Main Motors Chevrolet in Anoka,MN was almost one of those. The town I grew up in. Still not sure how many strings they have to pull to stay in business. Initial press release was that they’d be shuttered.
