President Obama to speak on Oklahoma tornado [Denied Oklahoma Flood Disaster Help]

... Obama will be meeting with his disaster response team, including Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, on Tuesday before delivering a statement on the devastating tornado that tore through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday.

Obama has declared a major disaster in Oklahoma, ordering federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts.

Glenn Beck’s Mercury one charity had trucks on the scene by 2AM with 4 truckloads of supplies and were heading back for more.

Many years ago my ship was docked in Greece, and while off the ship there was a Red Cross mobile Canteen on the dock. We didn’t have any money on us a the time, but they would not give us a cup of coffee without paying.

I have never donated to the Red Cross since, and never will.

The Salvation Army always had free coffee, free donuts etc. and never asked for a penny.

I hope the good governor declares Obama a disaster.

There were many stories like yours from WWII. Soldiers paid the Red Cross for donated items.

I’m sure the SA will put it all to good use, unlike the Red Cross w/ their ‘overhead’.

Unless I’m mistaken the director of the Americn Red Cross gets about $900,000 per year.
The director of the Salvation Army get about $2,400.per year.
