No. In Post-WWII America, it was quiet, but happened. You just never saw the results. A girl would “go stay with relatives” for a year or so, then return.

Just because it wasn’t open and clearly visible, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Recall the push in the 60s for birth control access and abortion.

In “ye goode olde days” we still had the infamous “backroom abortions”. . .

Up until the 60’s it was very rare for teens to have sex out of wedlock

That's because for most of recorded history teens had sex IN wedlock. And it was usually young girls with older men. Social norms may change but human biology doesn't.

In my school, they were ‘bladder infections’...

I didn’t. I applied Occam’s Razor. High school kids mess around, regardless of flavor.

If there was a HISTORY of this girl routinely seducing much younger girls, then Occam’s Razor would support your hypothesis.

The evidence at hand tends to support that it was a typical high school relationship, albeit not of the usual polarity....

Which laws or moral standards are you referring to ???

Sounds like you’d be happier under shar’ia. . .

“Up until the 60’s it was very rare for teens to have sex out of wedlock.”

I have a couple of former co-workers (now in their 70s) who used to tell stories endlessly about their teenage sexcapades back in the mid-1950s. Some were with the local “bad girls” and others were with the daughters of prominent citizens (the mayor, judges, etc.) I don't know exactly when the “sexual revolution” started, but it was apparently well underway before the 1960s.

Sharia promotes this.

Sharia advocates pedophilia and homosexuality.

Think before you touch the keyboard again.

Shar’ia promotes chastity and virginity prior to marriage. . . as long as you’re a female.

Ask anyone who served in the ‘stan about Afghans and Man-Love Thursday.

And last I checked, open homosexuality was a capital crime under shar’ia. It certainly is in Iran and Saudi. . .

Of course, there, they DO care when and if you touch the keyboard.

Here in America, we’re free to do so at any time. We call it “freedom of expression”. You should look that up sometime. . .

If it wasn’t of the usual polarity, then it wasn’t a typical high school relationship, was it?

And I suppose your assertion in post 36 wasn’t sincere? Since I agreed with your assertion therein, you appear to have abandoned that line of argument.

(Some kids...you give ‘em books, pay for their education, even teach ‘em fancy terms and phrases...and they still reject the truth. Nietzsche much?)

Sounds like you’d be happier under shar’ia. . . God's laws and moral standards. You know, the Bible.
When I say laws, I'm referring to God's righteous standards that we should adhere to.

You would seem to be happier in Sodom or Gomorrah, where anything goes.

What the heck are you talking about? I don't want Sharia!
I specifically defended NOT marrying at an early age, and for both sexes to remain chaste, as per the standards of the God of the Bible.
The laws I was referring to are the ones that make it illegal to have sex with a minor.
I never imagined that people would mistake my post as promoting Sharia.

Who cares what Sharia says.

I'm talking about the Bible. In it, God promotes chastity and virginity prior to marriage.
Are you saying we'd be better off without the Bible or God's standards? He put them there for a reason.
And that part about caring what you type on the keyboard, who is trying to stop you? Feel free to make an ass out of yourself by jumping to unwarranted conclusions about your fellow FReepers.

Thank you. Interesting. It would seem that’s a fact all papers would get right on this topic.

No problem. I thought you were agreeing that I was advocating Sharia. I abhor that "religion" and everything that goes along with it.

Thanks for the clarification.

The gay militants have been dying for a story like this, with the goal of lowering the Age of Consent as the main goal.

Swiving is one of those words that needs a comeback...sounds classy, like something some freepers would like.
