Dead Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and another man — who was killed by the FBI on Wednesday — murdered three people in Massachusetts after a drug deal went wrong in 2011, law enforcement sources tell NBC News.
Sources say that what began as a drug ripoff ended in a triple homicide when Tsarnaev and friend Ibragim Todashev realized their victims would later be able to identify them.
Todashev was killed by a federal agent while giving a statement on his role on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
The man who was shot, Todashev, 27, allegedly attacked an agent with a knife while confessing to the 3-year-old slayings. He was not suspected of having played any role in the bombing that killed three people and injured scores more in April, but he did confess to being involved in a brutal Boston-area slaying two years ago, investigators said.

This reminds me of the first Robocop movie. On TV you'd see these 30 second news blurbs with nuclear explosions and obvious coverups but no one cared, they were too busy watching "I'd buy that for a dollar", a retarded gameshow. Robocop defined the low information voter perfectly all those years ago and journalism was dead in that future.

The clincher is that the murders were discovered on 9/12, which is the day after... all together now... 9/11.
That clinches it for me.

Three Jews, throats slit to near decapitation, significant (pounds) of marijuana, $5,000 left, ceremonial placement of the bodies covered in the marijuana. And the locals wrote it off as a drug killing. Apparently in Boston leaving the money and drugs behind is common in drug killings. Someone missed this one, potentially at great cost. Then again, if you want to continue your career, do you suggest the possible ramifications of dead Jews, slit throats, with the valuables left behind.
Note my post 50. The question that needs to be asked, I suspect willful but mandated ignorance may be more accurate than cover up, is to protect who and why. With time to spare, the bodies were arranged ritually, the killers in a drug killing don't leave the money and drugs behind. At least very often. They are, after all drug dealers. How common ritual killing are in drug murder I've not a clue, but I suspect they're uncommon enough to make someone pay attention. Unless the signs point in a politically uncorrect direction. No way of knowing if putting the signs together would have impacted the Boston bombing, but they might have.
BTW, I'll post an article later when I find a good one, but David Cameron is being criticized in some quarters for attributing the killing of the British soldier to terrorism. After all, chop his head off with machetes screaming Allah Akbar, can't jump to conclusions.

That in itself, plus the fact that the suspects appear to be radical Islamists, should go a long way toward determining the true motive for the crimes.
