To repeat, as a matter of policy, the preference of the United States is to capture terrorist suspects.

Yes, so that Dear Leader can release them in the streets of the USA

“Please let me know the link if you find it.”

I can find comments about the new rule book, but can’t find the actual rule book. I don’t remember where I heard, read he had signed these new rules but I did read or hear that yesterday or the day before. It could be we peons are not allowed to see or read the actual wording in the “new codified rule book”.

Here are comments about it:

“But a newly-codified rule book, administration officials said, would hold U.S. authorities to a tougher standard when deciding whom to kill, where, and under what circumstances.

Under the new policy, strikes will only be authorized against militants who pose “a continuing, imminent threat,” aides said, instead of “a significant threat,” which had been the previous standard.

Before any strike is undertaken, “there must be a near certainty that no civilians will be killed or injured,” said a senior administration official who spoke under ground rules that did not allow him to be named.

Strikes against foreign militants will be conducted under the same standard as those against U.S. citizens who have joined forces with al Qaeda, the official said.”

Sounds like he’s surrendering. Did he even mention the UK attack yesterday in his long list of terrorism?

He’s also saying he’s “constrained”. Results not his fault, though. For the record. /sarc

Medea Benjamin, connected to the TIDES foundation, among other orgs....
The Tides entities fund the Iraq Peace Fund and the Peace Strategies Fund, which in turn have funded much of the anti-war movement and led to the creation of the hysterical anti-war group MoveOn.org and the radical website Indymedia. The later group has coordinated radical activists worldwide to fight American foreign policy interests.

The Tides Foundation also funded the anti-war group United for Peace and Justice, headed by longtime Communist Party member and pro-Castro apologist Leslie Cagan. Indeed, when UFPJ co-founder Medea Benjamin visited Cuba, she stated that the contrast between Cuba and America “made it seem like I died and went to heaven.” Tides has announced that it supports “nonviolent responses to terrorism,” as if that will have any effect whatsoever on the agenda of the terrorists. This attitude is dangerously naïve.

This is utterly ridiculous. What was wrong with “significant threat”? Let’s have a war, but let’s not kill any of the enemy. That’s not kosher.

This man should not have been re-elected. Also, I don’t see why we put our military in harm’s way if they can’t defend themselves.

I think the main theme is close gitmo capture prisoners....so what do we do with them when we capture them? Give them all our rights here in this country..

Yep.
Exactly like the DOJ did with that Tsarnev kid in captivity

HE'S ON AGAIN!

Once... just once, I'd like to see an informed, knowledgeable politician respond to his speech statement by statement, and reveal his shallow knowledge of history, society, human nature, the true reality view of the enemy. Of course, deleting all his absurd meaningless phrases like...

It's the right thing to do.
My opinion is...
Our policy is..."
"HIS policy is"
Etc.

Deleting all the delusional fluff would make his speech very short.

Listen to some of Hitler’s speeches on Military Channel and you will soon pick up on his manner of delivering a speech to a frenzied audience i.e. a burst of words, a tilted head up’ a pause and then on a repeat for the next burst of words. Hitler did not have teleprompter as Obama but he had his speech on paper laid out on the podium. This is ire as when Obama goes into his Mussolini stance.

Thank you, Whenifhow.

Gee, I wonder when they’re going to report that “the heckler” reference was included in TOTUS? Hehehe.

Hmmm...

Could this be to rally all the DOJ workers who have been disheartened by the revelations about Holder over the last few weeks?

One of these people's main causes would be Gitmo; perhaps this is a weak attempt to rally their flagging support.
