Sources: 'Adebolajo was arrested on his way to join Al Shabaab in Somalia'
Two men who allegedly slaughtered a soldier in a Woolwich street were known to security services, it emerged today.
David Cameron revealed that authorities were looking into what was already known about Drummer Lee Rigby's alleged killers, but it is not thought they were considered to be an immediate threat.
One of the men, believed to be Michael Adebolajo, is believed to have been arrested after he went to Somalia to join banned Islamist group al Ahabaab.
Eyewitness Jamie France, 29, said that his mother had seen Adebolajo preaching as recently as last week.
He said: 'She said she'd seen him last week preaching in Woolwich town centre. She said she remembers him because he'd been really angry and was saying all this political stuff.'
In an extraordinary day of events, Scotland Yard announced that another 1,200 police officers were being put onto the streets and several houses were raided as part of the investigation.

They hacked the guy to death in front of a crowd, after knocking him down with a car. It only took the police 20 minutes to get there.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away. In the UK, armed police are even more minutes away!
Liberals believe in the goodness of man. When faced with evidence to the contrary, they look away.
It may take decades, but Political Correctness will wane and recede into history’s shadows.
AN EXTREMIST WHO WAS RAISED AS A CHRISTIAN
Michael Adebolajo, 28, was born in Lambeth, south London, in 1985 to a Christian family of Nigerian descent.
At the age of 15 or 16 he started getting involved in Islam and started to speak about Jihadi ideas.
He joined several extremist groups - including Al Muhajiroun - that were banned in Britain and in 2003 converted to Islam, calling himself Mujaheed while at Marshalls Park School.
Fearing he had become radicalised, his parents moved him away from Romford to a village in Lincolnshire.
He then went to university in Greenwich, living in Eltham while he was a student.
A former friend told the Evening Standard that he was a Christian.
The friend said: 'He started getting involved with Islam aged about 15 or 16, and that is why his parents moved him away out of the area. It is utterly shocking to see what he has done. It’s unbelievable.'
The security services, including MI5, were aware of him and his accomplice, who has not been named but is believed to be from Harold Hill, close to Romford.
Because they can. Here in America we supposedly have a Constitution that forbids that kind of random intrusive search -- what good was it during the Boston Marathon crackdown?
The perps were correct when they proclaimed to some Brit woman that: ~”(her) gov’t doesn’t give a kr@p about her and her ilk.”
The radical left have paralyzed themselves by their own ideology.
They cannot denounce islam as evil.
Doing so, would be denouncing their ideology.

It’s the story of the West — you know there is a terrost lurking but you only take action after he has done the damage.
You’re 99% certain that it is a muslim, but don’t take action because, God forbid, that you’re branded anti-muslim.
So what are we going to do — wait and see what happens next?
"Alleged"? Seriously? What more does it take to get that idiotic qualifier removed from "reporting"...ahem, "alleged reporting"?

Everything about this story makes me absolutely sick.
Once again, authorities KNEW, but failed to act due to Political Correctness, until someone was dead. Personally, I'm not counting on the Politically Correct authorities to protect me, I'll leave it to my .45 ACP and I take the tact of shoot first, ask questions later - especially where raghead muzzies are concerned!
It looks like the guy was dead after the car hit him, it would explain the lack of blood all over the street.

I don't know about everyone else, but I get a little nervous when I read statements like this. I've been to a number of our own rallies, and a bystander could probably come away thinking some of the same things.
Statements like this are used to justify certain actions, and it's problematic.
The attack on this soldier happened a long time ago. It must be at least 24 hours. We have to ask the question: “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Brit. What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?” Remember Gen. George Casey’s remark, “What happened at Fort Hood was a tragedy, but I believe it would be an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty here.” A reaction to this event could result in the British being deprived of Nigerian cuisine. Oh the horror!
