SALT LAKE CITY -- When the Boy Scouts of America began a discussion earlier this year about lifting its ban on gays, some speculated it could lead to the severing of ties with the Mormon church that goes back 100 years.
Those predictions ended up being off the mark.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints threw its support behind the new policy voted on Thursday by the Boy Scouts of America that opens the door for gay youth to join the ranks, while continuing to ban gay adult Scout leaders.

What the heck is going on with the Mormons? I actually used to have a lot of respect for them, owing to their comportment and conservatism! Going back decades. Their manner and decorum reminded me of myself! Then, we get served up that blasted liberal POS, Mitt Romney, who facilitated fag-marriage in MA, and supported homo Scoutmasters. And now, the LDS has now given the green-light to deviancy in the Scouts! What th—?
I had the highest respect and admiration for the BSA, but now I have only abject contempt. They are a disgrace to God and country. May the whole organization just go straight to hell, where it now so richly belongs. That goes for anyone remaining associated with the damned, degenerate group. Kids or adults alike.
As for the Mormons... eh, don’t even talk to me, at this point. You’ve burned your bridges.

It looks like now is the time to form a new group that instills all the traditional values that the BSA used to adhere to. This time don’t let it be co-opted by corrupt peoples.
Openly homosexual men (gay means happy, there is nothing happy about sodomy) are not allowed membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do not know about spin offs or break away groups but homosexuals and lesbians CANNOT be Latter Day Saints or hold any leadership in the church, period. Unless, of course they are lying to their leaders about their homosexuality.
Neither, there is no such thing except in demented minds.

Radical homosexuals and their lunatic left running buddies never take a step back so anyone who thinks this is the end of the pressure on the Scouts is a fool. They have accomplished half of their goal now with goading and intimidation and will only intensify their efforts to get their scoutmasters in as well.

Lots of people will refuse to support the BSA now. It is very sad. It’s the end of an era.

The LDS church is headed toward complete acceptance of the gay lifestyle. 10 years, tops.
Did you read the article?
The article said that the LDS Church feels comfortable with scouts that have same sex attraction as long as they do not participate in pre-marital sex.
The program is much more likely to promote family values on same sex attraction youth who have not yet experimented, than it would pervert fellow scouts.
As a LDS Scout Master and a proud homophobe, I can deal with this and I actually don’t think it will change anything.
Kids who are openly homosexual, cannot abide by the morality contract required in an LDS troup, and those who have sexual confusion are more likely to be strengthened through scouting companions with strong moral values.
