Clinton leads 2016 poll in Iowa, But Rand Paul is Close (Rubio Fading In Iowa, 19 Points Down)

As far as the pollsters are concerned, the 2016 race is underway. And Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is certainly acting like he's in the race.

The latest poll out of Iowa has former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beating Florida Sen. Marco Rubio handily (48 vs. 37 percent), but could face a tougher race against Senator Paul (46 vs. 42 percent), according to a new poll by Quinnipiac University.

The poll says that Iowa voters would give the race to either Senator Rubio or Senator Paul, if the Democratic Party candidate was Vice President Joe Biden.

"In general Sen. Paul appears to be the better GOP candidate at this point in Iowa. Part of the reason may be the publicity from his recent high-profile visit to the state, but more likely is that he begins with a solid base of support - the folks who voted for his father in the 2008 and 2012 caucuses."

As The Christian Science Monitor reported, Rand Paul was in Iowa two weeks ago, and was popular among Republicans.

In a recent survey of [only] the registered Republican voters in Iowa, Paul won 39 percent of the vote with Marco Rubio next in line at just 20 percent. (Among Democrats, Hillary Clinton won 43 percent with Vice President Joe Biden winning 27 percent.) Earlier this year, Paul won a straw poll vote at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

At a Monitor-sponsored press gathering last month, Paul said he would not decide whether to run before 2014. Meanwhile, he’s just unique enough among the GOP field – and just different enough from his father – to keep drawing attention.

He did lose weight - he had some surgery to his tummy.

Don’t tell him you didn’t notice.

Cuomo, All the good looks of his father and none of the intelligence or charisma. NO WAY Cuomo gets the nomination and he would get crushed in the general.

A New York Liberal. He would lose 45 states if not more.

Lots of people will hold their nose to vote for the slick black guy, but the ugly loud mouth New Yorker. I doubt it!

Ugh. Why does O’Malice even think he has a shot?
I hear Cuomo’s rantings occasionally, but I think I actually hear more from Barack’s Mini-me in Massachusetts than I do from that gun-grabbing psycho in Maryland. Maybe I’m watching the wrong shows... or maybe I’m watching the right ones.

I am most worried about Martin O’Malley running. He has made a mess of Maryland, but people just LOVE him. It is atrocious.

I think you may have too much faith in those light blue states. They’ll vote for whichever leftist troll is on the ballot. Heck, they’d probably vote for Weiner in a presidential race. These people are beyond brainwashed. As long as it’s (D), it’s handouts for me!

Cuomo’s slogan could be “Rope and Change”.

You’ll need the rope to hang yourself in the event that he gets elected.

If Rubio is the nominee, I’ll stay home.
If Jeb is the nominee, I’ll vote for Hillary twice. Once legally and once
illegally. Can you hear me Rove.

Christie had gastric banding so at the present rate, he should look human by the 2024 election. He's running for VP in 2014. All we need is a decent presidential candidate....

I know it's rude to say it, but if you just look and listen to Cuomo, you can tell he'll never be president. He doesn't believe it, but it's obvious.

Biden had brain surgery twice, so bring a few fries short of a Happy Meal shouldn't stop Hillary. She's the one that worries me. The press covered up the fact that Roosevelt couldn't walk, they won't have any trouble covering up the fact that Hillary can't think.

And the fact he has ANY support shows people still ‘want to believe’.

Conservatives want the next Reagan..Rubio could have been it. Glad he exposed his big government, progressive self early. So we won't be disappointed by another Bush.

If Issa was half as smart as he thinks he is, he would have sunk Hillary with the blatant lies and dodged responsibilities already.
If not for Hillary, Benghazi would never have happened.

“The latest poll out of Iowa has former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beating Florida Sen. Marco Rubio handily”

What difference does it make!!!

When the truth of Benghazi comes out, one of 2 things will happen:

Hillary will be the one who ordered the stand down order acting on behalf of the Persident
Or
She will sell out the President because he tossed her under the bus on Benghazi.
Okay, #3
The President guy will eliminate the 22nd ammendment.

I’ll take you on. I’m not afraid of your bombast.

Rush and Levin despise the amnesty-no border security bill.

Made it crystal clear.

They personally like Rubio.

As their shows come and go, they are getting more and more cold to Rubio.

You and your buds don’t have the facts on your side. Reading this, the ignorant would absolutely swear that Levin and Rush support Rubio’s stupid bill, when the truth is the exact opposite.

Jeb won’t be the nominee. Neither will Christie, and they’d be idiots to even try it. Remember, Jeb declined to even have his name on the straw poll, because he knew he’d get 2 votes. Tokyo Rove and him.

I think there’s a good chance that Rubio will be the most moderate guy in our field.

They don’t support his stupid bill.

If you know that while pretending otherwise, shame on you.

If you don’t know that, ditto.
