Clinton leads 2016 poll in Iowa, But Rand Paul is Close (Rubio Fading In Iowa, 19 Points Down)
Christian Science Monitor ^ | May 25, 2013 | By David Clark Scott

As far as the pollsters are concerned, the 2016 race is underway. And Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is certainly acting like he's in the race.

The latest poll out of Iowa has former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beating Florida Sen. Marco Rubio handily (48 vs. 37 percent), but could face a tougher race against Senator Paul (46 vs. 42 percent), according to a new poll by Quinnipiac University.

The poll says that Iowa voters would give the race to either Senator Rubio or Senator Paul, if the Democratic Party candidate was Vice President Joe Biden.

"In general Sen. Paul appears to be the better GOP candidate at this point in Iowa. Part of the reason may be the publicity from his recent high-profile visit to the state, but more likely is that he begins with a solid base of support - the folks who voted for his father in the 2008 and 2012 caucuses."

As The Christian Science Monitor reported, Rand Paul was in Iowa two weeks ago, and was popular among Republicans.

In a recent survey of [only] the registered Republican voters in Iowa, Paul won 39 percent of the vote with Marco Rubio next in line at just 20 percent. (Among Democrats, Hillary Clinton won 43 percent with Vice President Joe Biden winning 27 percent.) Earlier this year, Paul won a straw poll vote at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

At a Monitor-sponsored press gathering last month, Paul said he would not decide whether to run before 2014. Meanwhile, he’s just unique enough among the GOP field – and just different enough from his father – to keep drawing attention.

“Ted Cruz seems like the real deal.”

Amen Brother!

Levin played a clip of Cruz from the other day taking it right to McCain and the rest of the establishment types! I love Ted Cruz and our Own (Utah) Mike Lee. The establishment are scared sh*tless of these two guys. Funny watching dinosaurs like McCain attacking these two more than he attacks the Kenyan.

Facts are bombast? Since when?

Rush and Levin are supporting a man whose plan will end America. Is that true or not? They are supporting him, thus giving credence to his ‘reform’ or they are not. Pick one.

I saw it and I was screaming at the TV as though he could here my comments.
He said the border would be secure. He said that none would be eligible for Obamacare or Welfare, which, as of Monday was crossed off the Bill.

You know Harry Reed is behind this.
Lay down with dogs, wake up with flees.

Your assessment may well be correct. I’m absolutely sick of Rubio. I can always tell when he’s bullsh*tting...he talks fast.

Obamacare mandates all Americans have health ins. If they are made legal, they will be mandated. If unemployed, the Govt will pay it.

Rubio is a liar.

Levin backed Hatch, and supports Rubio.

Levin has a habit of supporting amnesty lovers.

People hate it when their heroes turn out to be part of the problem. Some accept reality, others have tantrums and dent history.

“And if someone is foolish enough to pick him as a Vice President,......”
******************************************************************
Nah, he’s killed that possibility also. And in his desperation he’s bringing Paul Ryan down with him also as far as having any potential to be the Republican nominee for either President or Vice-President.

“Levin backed Hatch...”
_________________________

As a Utahan, I was seriously pi$$ed when Levin not only supported the Establishment Hatch, but was also snarky when describing Hatch’s challenger.

Levin's a good guy, but he's not beyond picking lousy candidates sometimes.

“.....They’re no doubt looking back to her young years as first lady, forgetting that she now looks like that crazy aunt who got four of your friends killed and then said “what difference does it make?”. You know the one.....”
********************************************************************
Well I’m sure Hillary’s off recuperating from her “Lifestyle Lift” surgery. We’ll see how she looks when she reemerges in public. However she looks, she’ll still be crazy but......what difference does it make at this point?

Back to your original point, LOL

libs like many here rally around those of their own attacked....Angle, Akin etc... its a human thing that can be a flaw and weakness.

WE are seen by them as going after Hillary...that rallies libs to Hillary even though they hated her in 2008 for competing with Obama. They may still see her as unbeatable in that... and to your point...we let her be nominated by Dems and then Boom....we drop the bombs... let her be Dems McCain/Romney....

I would not worry about this poll.

The next presidential election is over 3 years away.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Please, we're 3 years out from the next election. Rush and Mark are great and getting better. They were willing to listen to the guy. That's it. Who did you back in the last primaries and could you please link some of his or her ferocious anti-amnesty quotes? Thank you.

You just go right on believing that.
