Obama: Nation must do more for fallen heroes

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says the nation must do more than just remember its fallen heroes on Memorial Day.

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says the country must care for the loved ones the fallen leave behind. He says the country must also make sure that all veterans receive the care and benefits they have earned.

During the past week, he has been making speech after speech, spreading the fiction that our military is composed of a majority of serial sexual assaulters and rapists.

He chose this topic because he thinks it makes him look authoritative and strong. I have found, through years of experience, that whenever someone wants to cover up their own sins, they vigorously want to shine the spotlight on someone else's sins, real or imagined.

Moreover, if he really wants to help veterans, why doesn't he order Chuck "The Jewish Lobby is Evil" Hagel to stop the furlough of 680,000 mechanics, teachers, nurses, cops, engineers, etc that work for the Department of Defense? He is taking 20% of their pay for rest of the fiscal year.

45% of DoD civilians are veterans themselves.

So, instead of paying lip service to this or that to honor veterans, why doesn't he ensure he isn't taking the paychecks they earn and use to pay for tuition, grocery bills, and medical bills?

He has no problem shelling out $60 Billion a year for a give away "Earned Income Tax Credit" which provides refund checks to people who don't pay Federal taxes (including illegals).

This rhetoric is straight from the Democrat playbook. It’s the same thing they do with all groups they want to turn to their side. First, say we’re not doing enough for them. Then, woo them with handouts and freebees until they become dependent. Lastly accuse the other side of not caring and wanting to take away the things they “need and deserve”. Unfortunately, with today’s military, they will probably succeed in flipping most members to vote for the Democrats.

Hagel gave a speech where he proposed gutting military health care, retirement, closing our remaining infrastructure, slsashing hundreds of thousands of uniformed service members, slashing hundreds of thousands of DoD civilians, slashing funding for research, weapons systems, and procuremnt, and then wondered why his speech was met with "glum" faces.
