Kentucky policeman shot and killed in apparent highway ambush

A Kentucky policeman was shot and killed in an apparent ambush when he stopped to pick up debris on a highway exit ramp, the Courier-Journal newspaper said on Sunday.

Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis, 33, was found shot to death on an exit ramp on the Blue Grass Parkway in north central Kentucky early Saturday morning.

correct me if wrong but didn't the moslem in Ca. back a couple of months ago use a shotgun. The moslem shooting at some cars and people and executed about three or four.

This morning's Kentucky Standard (our 3 day a week Bardstown paper) had a little more to say on the matter, but methinks info is being withheld until they get the guy.

The police chief was pretty blunt. There may not be an expensive trial in the works.

“I can assure you, we won’t give up on this person or persons until we have them either in our custody, or in the front sight of one of our weapons, and I personally hope the latter is the choice,” the chief said.

I don’t remember the case but a shotgun is certainly capable of killing. Around here we use them to kill deer and they’re good sized critters.

Another odd part is it happened in what would normally be a busy highway. I would never set up an ambush near an off ramp of a major highway unless it was dark.

The article said early morning. Maybe it was in the very early morning before light.

There is a training camp down in this neck of the woods south of me about 20 miles as the crow flies for moslems. The Sheriff, in that area, has been raising the alarm for the past three or four years. No doubt of your words. Their numbers are on the rise. Am noticing an uptick, in their numbers, also.
