A 22-year-old man has been charged on suspicion of making malicious comments on Facebook following the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby.
A second man was visited by officers and warned about his activity on social media, the spokesman added. It comes after 25-year-old Drummer Rigby was brutally murdered on a street in Woolwich, south east London, on Wednesday.
The father-of-one, from Manchester, had fought in Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
Detective Inspector Ed Yaxley, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: 'On Wednesday evening, we were contacted by people concerned about comments made on social media accounts.
'These comments were directed against a section of our community. Comments such as these are completely unacceptable and only cause more harm to our community in Bristol.
'People should stop and think about what they say on social media before making statements as the consequences could be serious.'

I’m sorry, I’ve known and served with many fantastic Brits over the years, but it’s becoming apparent that collectively they’ve decided to commit suicide of their national identity. What they don’t mention in this article is that they sent 5 patrol cars and 10 cops to arrest these evil Facebook posters while only one cop car was sent to subdue the beheading terrorists, who BTW considering how many times they were shot and lived makes me think that this whole arrest was a hoax, that they were “shot” with blanks.
Here, look at the video...Just why were these Islamos waiting around? Why aren’t people afraid of them? Is beheading people something that goes on everyday in London? This is a terrorist attack, these guys made it quiet clear what they were about to people with cellphones, and one cop car shows up like it is giving out parking tickkets? Where is the back up? Why did this ambulance suddenly appear immediately after they were shot and park by them and not by the soldier who has just been hacked up? Where is the blood on these terrorists who were just shot umpteen times?

England is in deep deep trouble and I think it is a looooot worse than people realize. My theory is the Islamo Nazis have got their mitts in the Government big time, this isn’t just liberals alone.
1—They were not shot with blanks, and to suggest the arrests were a hoax is in poor taste, given a young man lies dead.
2-The two WANTED suicide/martyrdom by cop. Thats why they waited.
3—Are you serious?. Why yes, people get beheaded in the UK every day, didnt you know. And we all wear deerstalker hats and say pip pip to each other.
4—The first police car contains normal police armed with 50000 volt tasers, CS spray and batons. As they reported one of the men was armed with a firearm, control handed over the armed unit that was on its way. Had the men not had the gun, the first unit would have dealt with the two men.
5—The ambulance was called earlier by members of the public and again by the first police. It didnt park by Lee Digby because the police had informed the ambulance by radio that the lad was dead. And ambulance drivers deal with the injured in any situation they are ordered to go to. Its their job to do so, irrespective of who the injured party is. Come on, you know that. Same in the US.
6—The two men are in hospital with bullet wounds, one very serious.
If you think its a hoax, you are wrong and you sound frankly ridiculous, like a NWO/black helicopter nut.
Oh, and the UK is not in trouble. We have serious problems that need to be addressed but this type of barbarity will not win, will not conquer the UK. Nor does it control the UK govt (which is mostly conservative btw not liberal).
We defeated the Nazis, we defeated decades of IRA terrorism which murdered and maimed thousands of British men, women and children, and we will beat this.
People who think the UK is ‘done’ are wrong and will be as wrong as those who said so in 1815, 1914, 1940 and 1979.
I’d put that fall back a long while.
Britain has problems, but it is not doomed. The nation that put with Nazi bombers and decades of slaughter by the IRA will not be defeated by islamic terrorism.
Due to the UK laws of criminal prejudice, newspapers and onlien media are not allowed to accept reader comments when it pertains to an ongoing criminal case.
