The Kansas Food Bank gave out record numbers of Friday food packages to schoolchildren in Wichita and throughout the state this year as part of its Food 4 Kids program. The highest number of backpacks of food handed out to needy school children was 7,158 during a week in February, said Larry Gunkel, a Food Bank official running the program. Isn’t this what food stamps are supposed to be for?
‘Cuz mommy sold the food stamps for crack/meth money. Mommy probably then raids the food backpack for what she wants and gives the kid what’s left.
The food pantries in my old hometown of La Crosse, Wisc. prate about all the hungry people in La Crosse because when they give away free food, many people show up. Imagine that...people taking something for free. That's shocking. Then walk around La Crosse and try to find people who are truly hungry. You might be looking a long time. But you will see many people who look like finding enough to eat has not been a problem for them.
If we expelled every wetback currently in the country the unemployment rate would be cut in half and the underemployment rate would be cut to a similar degree.

Why the double and triple redundancy?
Wasn’t the government able to waste enough money on just food stamps? Didn’t the school breakfast and lunch programs put them over the top of the goal to waste money? If not are we now to expect the backpacks to do it?
Next it will be a family van filled with food every three months.
And then it’ll be a free semi filled with food for every four member family once every six months.
And then it’ll be a cruise with all you can eat buffets for three days once a year.
And so it goes, at sunset in America.
They should make the parents have weigh-ins — since I’m guessing most of them are not height-weight proportionate (unless they’re methheads).
If the parents are too fat, let the Communist govt take their kids, since that’s who’s already raising them anyway.
This is for kids who, through no fault of their own, live with crappy parents. They eat free lunches during the week...and the backpack feeds them over the weekend. Most of the funding comes from business donations, religious groups, and local taxpayers. The food is deliberately ‘nutritional’...which means - bland enough that mom and uncles and cousins won’t take it all.
Sadly, most of these kids will grow up to be non productive members of society: but, while they are still kids, my charitable side supports giving them food.
There is no such thing as free food. This is something that someone will, someday, learn the hard way.
There isn’t going to be enough “backpacks” in the world for them to hand out once El Gangstas Ocho pass their amnesty debacle. There are going to be more “hungry kids” than you can shake a stick at.

This is exactly what happens. Exactly. I cannot stress how exact this is. The only addition I'd make is "Mommy and her boyfriend then raid the food backpack for what they want and give the kid what is left."
You don’t need to to do that...all you need to do is REMOVE STATE-FUNDED WELFARE/EBT’s and they won’t be setting foot here.

Now the parents won’t have to buy any food for their kids at all. They get school breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and now weekend food. THe same parents walking around with paid obamaphones or smartphones, newer and more expensive cars than I am driving, -
What the hell is this ocuntry coming to. This has to end. this wealth redistribution must end. It has to end. People need to take care of themselves and their own. Get charity from their churches and private groups. Not other responsible peoples’ earnings confiscated by government and turned over to them for NO legitimate moral reasons whatsoever.
Unfortunately I know too because my ex DIL spends all the really great child support, works parttime in the evening, goes out all night, sleeps all day, goes on vacations w/o the kids, supports worthless guys, all while my grandchildren would go without and are raising themselves.
I buy all of their clothes, I tried giving them money to keep for important stuff but their mother just takes it away, I pretty much buy them everything they need. Thank God for the internet because they live 2000 miles away. I have found out that for local businesses, they will gladly take my credit card if I call ahead and explain what is going on, like for extra-curricular expenses that have to be purchased at a certain store.
I don’t think she’s on drugs, she just drinks too much and is selfish and only thinks about herself. But hey, the courts decided it was in the kids best interest to live with their mother and move across the country even though it was clear in court that she was irresponsible with money when they had a perfectly stable father who was ready and willing to raise them.
She won’t even let my granddaughter drive her car so that she can learn to drive and get her driver’s license.
People say to call CPS but if there isn’t obvious physical abuse they won’t do a thing.
