At the end of the video interview, Mr. Ingram states that he has raised all of his bees with out chemicals, and has taught his beginning beekeepers the same. He then goes on to state that “she”, (the AgDept. rep) goes ballistic when someone says that they want to raise bees without chemicals. She says it cannot be done...

Sounds like Monsanto is in the IllinoisAg Dept.’s pocket, which is NO surprise since the Fed level Ag Dept. head, (Vilsack) is viewed by many as a Monsanto man : / http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_15573.cfm

Some college-age kid with a clipboard came to our house the other day asking my wife and me to sin a petition against Monsanto. They are the next frozen/personalized target of the left, and the holes in this article make me think that it is part of the campaign.

“November 30, 2010

George Soros Increased Hedge Fund Investment of Monsanto Last Year Before Food Safety Act

There are some interesting things to note about the Food Safety Act, which many label the Monsanto Act. The bill will be voted on in the Senate today, and it has already passed in the House of Representatives.

Once again, we see George Soros’ fingerprints are all over this bill through investments. In 2009, the Soros hedge fund group increased investments in Monsanto by 244%. As well, Soros is also 2nd largest holder in Monsanto Corporation, who’s former CEO was positioned nicely in a powerful position in the FDA.

Soros stands to profit from the continued altercation of human food through GMO science, and the SB510, the Food Safety Act will also drive up to costs of food by removing more competition and giving the corporate agri bussiness the ultimate upper hand over small family farmers.”

Anyone ever drive down an interstate and see a planted field in the middle of the highway with a sign that says something like “Don’t Mow” “Seed test 19024”?

I wonder if those little cuts of land were negotiated by Monsanto to infect Farmers crops with their franken-seeds and thereby allowing Monsanto so sue and win(unbelievably) claiming the farmer is using Monsanto seed, when the farmer could care less about Monsanto and has been “seeding” for decades.

Just saw those in the past and never thought anything of them.

I mentioned this on other threads and people “looked” at me like I had three heads.

This Nation is WAY UP that proverbial creek without a paddle. It is just mind-numbing to just read about these events; however, the lack of response on the part of The People is just plain sickening.

We’ve started growing our own food,
but I wonder how long before they start taking actions
against individuals who stray outside their “nets”.

Oh, I get that.

After one year, I would expect more than the vague accusations in the story.

Amazing. And yet there are FReepers who will defend Monsanto.

Yup. Our freedoms are being determinedly undermined from every possible direction.

Round Up has been out on the market for at least 30 years that I know of. All the testing on God’s green earth have been done by now.

Like I said, this article is fishy.

No, this information was found on the internet so it has to be true. Just as the man alleges. Good grief.

People will believe absolutely anything if it fits with their preconceived notions. Monsanto doesn't stand a chance if conservatives are buying into this idiocy.

They are the next frozen/personalized target of the left, and the holes in this article make me think that it is part of the campaign.

There are plenty on the right who are very much against Monsanto and for good reason.

Have no fear, they'll just buy new laws if they don't like any current ones.

It’s more amazing that their are FReepers who get so easily sucked in to the left’s anti-corporation witch hunt.

How is this a leftist corporate witch hunt? Monsanto is hardly pro-free market and Obama is one of their biggest supporters.

Get your facts.

I have no way to prove this, and I don’t actually know it’s happening so this isn’t a charge per se. This smells a lot like Monsanto doesn’t want bee activity, since the bees may cross pollinate traits of Monsanto’s products into other plants. And Monsanto couldn’t claim ownership of those other plants.

If this were ever proven, I’d be okay with the death penalty for anyone trying to play a game like this.

Bees are an important part of the food chain and anyone trying to eliminate them should be executed for being the threat they were to the food chain.

the bees had foulbrood and were resistant to antibiotics not

Dept ag tested bees and then destroyed when tests were positive.

Foulbrood is the anthrax of bees, spores last 40 years, kills bee hives.

Article is poorly written and a hit piece on Monsanto imho

Get your facts.

The fact is that this is absolutely a witch hunt undertaken by people who willingly believe everything they are told because they don't have the knowledge (or sense) to question what they are being told. You and the anti-corporate left are demonizing a company based on lies and manipulation. Conservatives should be smarter, but if you want to be a part of the occupy movement, have at it.
