President Obama's arrogance and contempt for the rule of law is on full display now. As the 'Chicago crime syndicate' in the White House is further exposed by recent scandals, numerous Obama appointees and other employees prove themselves guilty as sin. And as hearings designed to isolate these guilty players showcase the rampant corruption in this administration, how does he respond? He doubles-down by shamelessly retaining, reappointing or promoting those who we would expect him to eject in shame from our government. Amidst these scandals, he is busy buying the silence of those around him with promotions, awards and other perks.
After it became clear that Susan Rice lied on national television about an 'Anti-Islam video' triggering a protest in Benghazi, what did Obama do? Without any guilt or shame for her lies, he attempted to promote her to Secretary of State (This begs the question: Did she lie for him in exchange for this promotion?). He obsessed over promoting her but she finally withdrew her bid for that position. But it didn't end there. He was determined to keep Rice on his leash. Void of any sense of dignity or accountability for wrongdoing by anyone in his administration, he decided to reassign Rice as National Security Adviser, replacing Tom Donilon. With her reassignment pending and one day before the most recent Benghazi hearing, Susan Rice was awarded the ‘2013 Louis E. Martin Great American Award’.
There is already evidence that IRS Director Lois Lerner committed unlawful acts while overseeing the 'tax-exempt status' division at the IRS. Previously, while at the Federal Elections Committee in the '90's, Lois Lerner sued the Christian Coalition in the largest FEC Action in History. She lost her case. She has a decade’s long history of harassing Christian and conservative groups, and now her name is plastered all over documents harassing and illegally targeting Tea Party groups. Although she is due to appear again before Congress because she fumbled and waived her right to refuse to answer questions, it is now clear she committed perjury before Congress by saying she did nothing wrong. She's guilty of civil rights violations, at a minimum. This woman has a long history of abusing her powerful positions by illegally targeting and harassing groups and individuals based on their beliefs. So, how does Obama handle this? He does not fire her, but rather places her on 'administrative Leave with pay'; a six figure salary! This isn't punishment.. This is an extended vacation!
Lerner’s boss, IRS Commissioner Sarah Ingram is currently in the hot seat because she has been appointed by Obama to oversee the IRS’ policing of Obamacare. Instead of reprimanding Ingram, he appointed her after it had already become known the IRS was unlawfully targeting conservatives.
The extent to which Lerner’s and Ingram’s targeting of conservatives affected the 2012 election will never be known. What plans did Obama and Ingram have in store for conservatives under Obamacare? Would registered Republicans and Independents be denied health care by IRS death panels, just as they’d been audited and denied tax-exempt status?
Then there's Victoria Nuland of the State Department. E-mails released by the Obama administration regarding Benghazi indicate that she played a vital role in his politicizing Benghazi to lessen its impact on his campaign. After having been told by the CIA that there were Islamic Extremists involved in the attack, in her Emails she said the following: "The line about 'knowing' there were extremists among the demonstrators will come back to us at podium. (The early CIA draft) could be abused by members of Congress to beat up the State Department for not paying attention to warnings (in Benghazi), so why would we want to feed that either? Concerned.." Here, she is clearly involved in politicizing Benghazi and developing one of the most egregious lies ever perpetrated on the American people; that the terrorist attack in Benghazi was just 'protesters' more than anything else. She is clearly politicizing Benghazi by worrying more about how what they call it will affect the State Department (and Obama) than she is identifying it according to what the CIA has already determined it to be; a terrorist attack by Islamic extremists. So, what does Obama do with Victoria Nuland for being an instrumental player in the big Benghazi cover-up? Nominate her to Assistant Secretary of State!
Perhaps the most egregious of Obama's retentions is the DOJ AG Eric Holder. When the billy club-wielding Black Panthers committed a felony by intimidating voters outside a polling place in Philadelphia, Holder refused to prosecute them. This incident was recorded on video yet Holder stated that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to prosecute them. Apparently, Obama approved of Holder's failure to enforce a federal law that was clearly violated. But it got much worse. As Obama was in Mexico saying "90% of guns in Mexico come from the United States", the ATF was busy sending untraceable assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels. This scandal was dubbed 'Fast & Furious' where two U.S. Border patrol agents were murdered as a direct result of this gun running scheme, as well as over 300 Mexican citizens. Holder has led us to believe he and Obama had nothing to do with it. On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks." Documents reveal he was briefed on F&F one year earlier, as early as June 2010. Holder clearly committed perjury before Congress, and the extent of his involvement in this backdoor scheme for gun control in America is still unknown. Holder was found to be in ‘Contempt of Congress’ yet this charge failed to force him to resign or Obama from forcing him out.
Fast forward to the DOJ spying on the phone records and E-Mails of the AP & Fox News. During the hearing Eric Holder said "In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, this is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy." But wait.. Eric Holder is the one who approved the Subpoena which among other things named Fox News' James Rosen 'a criminal conspirator'! Holder may have also misled the Judge approving the subpoena by characterizing Rosen 'a flight risk' who might 'don a disguise'. Really? So, in addition to denying his involvement in F&F and lying to Congress then obstructing Congress' demands for more documentation (which they've still not received), add yet another count of perjury to his name. Not only did he violate the law by not contacting Fox News in advance of his spying on James Rosen, he perjured himself before Congress AGAIN and somehow manages to avoid prosecution and manages to keep his job! What's worse is Obama's failure to take any action against Holder whatsoever.. His failure to fire Eric Holder is an admission of his approval in Holder.
Obama's shamelessness in grooming wrongdoers and criminals is not only deplorable, its damaging to America. From the highest office in the land, a message is sent and it's a devastating one; that those who lie, commit perjury before Congress, abuse their power and violate the rule of law will either be promoted or placed on leave with pay, but not ejected from our government as they should be. He does not force wrongdoers or lawbreakers to resign nor does he fire them. The only people he targets are those who expose the rampant corruption and unethical behavior within; the whistle blowers, Fox News, watchdog groups and any journalist who questions his administration's narrative or actions.
When we have a president who rewards wrongdoers and lawbreakers and punishes those who expose them, we are in serious trouble. Not only now, but the future of the office of the President and American politics in general is damaged forever. The chief legacy of Obama's reign will be to have trampled upon accountability under the rule of law in our government. Our Constitution is now in jeopardy. With each passing day we move further from a free Republic and closer to a Dictatorial regime that answers to no one or no law. Our president is a liar and everyone who remains with him is complicit in his lies.
Pay close attention to the officials and underlings whom Obama reassigns or promotes; they probably know something damning to the administration or have a guilty conscience and might talk if dismissed. Instead of ousting those who commit wrongdoing and who violate our Constitutional laws, Obama is corrupting our government by retaining them. Perhaps this too, is his goal.
Correction: “wrongdoings and crimes” not “wrongdoers and crimes”.
What else would you expect from a President who seems to be running his Administraion more like Mob style crime syndicate

Well said. ‘Wearing America down’. It’s a two-fer: The wrongdoings themselves and the desired effect of allowing them to continue.
Let’s not forget about the IRS and Identity Theft . . . the billions of dollars sent out in fraudulent refunds. See the link in my post above.
When the TRUTH is career limiting, then it must follow “Perjury is Job Security”.
And.. Why the F do we tolerate the IRS overseeing 0bamacare? Oh, that's right.. It's a TAX, although the Dems kept that dirty little secret from us UNTIL they argued it before SCOTUS. Another SCAM foisted upon us by the 0bama regime.

One other item (I know, there’s probably many more) are the 118+ visits to the WH by IRS folks (the only visit Schulman could remember was the Easter egg roll). It seems to me very likely that Bob Bauer (Anita “Mao” Dunn’s hubby)has had a role to play in perhaps at least 1 of the scandals as well as a potential future one - election “reform”. I wonder if this ‘commission’ is a nationalized ACORN.
