NFL MVP Adrian Peterson says he has family members who are gay whom he loves and respects. But on gay marriage, the Minnesota Vikings running back says thats not something I believe in.
He was asked his thoughts on the Vikings cutting longtime punter Chris Kluwe, an outspoken advocate for gay rights and gay marriage.

He won’t be anybody’s first brideman anytime soon.. Two thumbs up, AP!
It’s so sad that having a view that aligns with traditional American values will get a person in hot water.
Hold your ground AP.
Sounds to me like Adrian Peterson has an IRS audit on the horizon.
Talk about real courage for coming out of the closet - this is what I call REAL COURAGE for speaking up and out like this!
What happens when a minority guy is not politically correct on gay marriage?
Does the media have a “style guide” to allow them to absolve the transgressions based on that?
What if a black muslim handicapped female climate change activist came out against gay marriage?
Last bounty brought by the Saints.
This one by the IRS.
His retraction and apology in 3...2...1...
He is castigated by it until he apologizes.
Nothing takes priority over shoving homosexuality down the throats of the masses.
I was really counting on him having some longevity so he could put Emmitt Smith’s record to bed. So much for that.
WHY was he asked? He stands with thousands of years of traditional civilization views on the matter.
Who are the pink journalists living a "don't ask don't tell" lifestyle at SeeBS? Why don't they come out of the closet and let viewers know why the homosexual perspective is a given in today's newsrooms?
Been nice knowing ya, Adrian ......
Not even a black man is immune from criticism by one of the religious left’s greatest commandments: thou shalt never disagree w/anything the homosexual community wants.
Before the Super Bowl, it happened to a black 49er.
Wow,read some of the Comments. “To each his own” is now Hate Speech. Not “being down” with Gay Marriage is bigotry. “There are five fingers Mr. Smith!”
I think he’s speaking for 95% of NFL athletes and 80% of NFL fans. I hope he is victorious.
Will any of the sportswriters praise him for the courage of his convictions?
Maybe the article went viral on leftwing activist sites or among facebook liberals.
Comments don’t reflect percentages of support or opposition to any articles. Online polls are totally worthless.
Except to low info voters.
Folks, we are in a rapidly deteriorating situation if saying "to each his own" is no longer enough. . .we now are forced by social pressure (soon to be followed by government coercion)to affirm that we believe in gay marriage!?
If we don't all soon take a stand to hang together for traditional morality. . .we will soon be hanging separately!!
(What Would Reggie White Do?)
actually most of the comments support his right to be against gay marriage and are saying ‘leave the guy alone’. A lot are against gay marriage, which is something I find on most comment threads on articles concerning the above.
A witch, A witch, BURN IT!!!!
Next thing you know, not having a personal belief in the profit Moe-ham-ed and saying, to each their own on their choice of deity will get you an appointment at your local Obama Care Center for an emeregency mandatory Cranium-ectomy....
That’s decapitation for the layperson....
I already intend to boycott the NFL this coming season. If the league punishes Peterson for his beliefs, I will stop watching pro-football all together.
AP’s not down with that “sweet stuff”.
He is planning on taking 2013 off, right?
Amazing. I wonder if the author of Profiles in Courage himself would recognize the perverted version of that virtue that he and his loathsome family and even more loathsome political party did so much to put in place.
Maybe we should show our support by buying AP jerseys.
Gay Nazis inbound, Adrian - DON’T DROP THE SOAP!
The intolerance of tolerance.
