The owner of a medical marijuana shop in the 600 block of West Garland Avenue fired a shot at an armed robber fleeing the store Monday evening.
We cant find any indication that anyone was hit, Spokane police Lt. Bill Drollinger said.
Herbal Connections is just two doors down from Garland Tattoo and Piercing, where D.J. Nill works. I heard something that sounded like a gunshot, he said. But the robber ran off in the other direction, and employees didnt see anything, he said.
We didnt realize what was going on until the cops came up, fellow employee Larry Shepar said.
A police dog was brought in to track the suspect, who ran north through an alley. The effort failed.
Police described the robber as a man in his mid-20s, very thin and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black mask or scarf. He was armed with a gun. Drollinger confirmed that the robber got away with merchandise and cash.
Looks like a son that Obama would have?
I bet that would be robber is still running!
Sounds like one of those Trayvon Martin tribute things. Or a DemocRAT politician.
Dude... Like... You’re just so harshing my mellow, man... Like... Seriously...
Never shoot at a thief while they are running away.
That’s true. Run faster, cut them off and, then, shoot them.
Always with the negative waves, Moriarty, always with the negative waves.
Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves. Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
Kind of violent for a pot-head, shooting a gun at a person (even owning a gun would not sit well with the late Jerry Garcia).
