Yeah, I remember when R's took the Senate or the House for first time in decades, don't remember which, and all the talking heads discovered concern about the minority having their voice heard, and having some power.

Fair enough, except for two things: They never said a peep when the R's were the minority, it suddenly assumes importance two minutes after D's assume minority status. And...they wanted the minority to have such power it amounted to a veto over what the majority wanted, IOW, the minority would actually have more power than the majority.

So the rule apparently is, if the Dems have the majority, majority rules. If the Dems are a minority, then the minority needs to be able to veto the majority.
