Gondring brought this article to our attention -- this issue was the spark that inspired me to get into pinging a Boy Scout list. Shaking my head; particularly at the detail in the article that Nutter offered the BSA $500,000 for that gorgeous art deco building right on the Ben Franklin Parkway. The ground it's sitting on is worth more.

Christians, beware. Churches will be next.

As now an enemy of the official organization of the BSA, I say good riddance. It can’t die too quickly for me.

Only fools reside in or visit the disgusting putridity that is Philadelphia. Merely being there is a blot on the BSA.

That disgusting stain is removed by vacating the hellhole that is Philadelphia

Rather, look for the churches to have alternate boys organizations to replace the BSA.

Same here. I spent years supporting and defending the BSA. Not anymore. They proved themselves worthless cowards. Caving to the forces of evil, and spitting in the face of everything they once stood for. I have nothing but raw contempt for the them. No sympathy from me when the coming lawsuits grind them to dust.

The Boy Scouts is still a good organization for kids. It seems a shame that the kids are going to lose out because of the decisions made by adults. I don’t see why adults can’t just man up, accept the changes and continue with what they believe in and give the kids a chance. I really doubt every pack is going to be inundated with gay kids.

Our youth needs to know what real scouting is about and outdoor skills, skills that many will not have a chance to expeience without the scouts. Our kids should see their adult leaders leading, not throwing in the towel.

The big city ones surely will. And the kids who will lose out in those situations will be the vulnerable urban poor A-A children whom groups like Liberty Council in Philadelphia have been trying to reach.

Having lived in what you call “the hellhole that is Philadelphia” for decades and having visited or vacationed many times in South Carolina since the 1950s, I must say that, on balance, “I’d rather be in Philadelphia.” Thou paintest with a very broad brush. Just how much time have you actually spent in Philadelphia? Do you think the entire City is defined by a few issues?

Yes, but will they have camp sites.

The United Methodists used to have a nice campsite in central PA. Don't know if it is still there.

If any parent, leaves their child in the scouts and in he future to where the case may come that they were molested, the parents did not protect the child. I blame the parent (s) There would be no way that I would have my child in the Boys Scouts nor have them enter in public education. No way. I would work 2 jobs to put them in a faith based school or a school of my choice. I would not allow my children to be told what is right or wrong while they are so immature and need guidance spiritually and educationally. This new faith we see now a days, is not the committed view of following the word of God. Churches need to be more vocal about this like gay marriage versus caving in due to the outside activists arm of the culture from this corrupt/sinful media. Imo.

Sure, and why let a little homosex with the children interfere with an otherwise great camping trip? /s

As I am furious with the Scouts over the stupidity of the new policy, They spent $875,000 to fight the City of Philadelphia to remain in the building. They WON IN COURT and the city was ordered to pay their legal bills. The city appealed and they came to this agreement?

I would have made them pay my legal fees and staid. They even offered the building as payment for the fees and the BAS said no? They could have taken the building and sold it for MILIIONS it is on prime real estate. They could have also stayed as their contract allows them. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!

I wouldn't want these sick faggots anywhere near my kids! Our youth needs to know what real scouting is about and outdoor skills, skills that many will not have a chance to expeience without the scouts. Our kids should see their adult leaders leading, not throwing in the towel.

You cannot be serious!

The BSA have essentially given their approval of this perverted lifestyle. Whether a particular BSA chapter or troop endorses it is beside the point. The BSA are now a pro-homosexual organization. Supporting it in any way, shape, or form is now an endorsement of this sick lifestyle.

I wouldn't want my kids anywhere near these sick faggots...period!

If you don’t think that could be prevented, then I really hope you’re not a scout leader, and if you can’t raise your kid properly and trust your child around some gay kid, then I hope you’re not a parent.

The queer waited only one single day before starting a campaign to force BSA to admit queer scout leaders.

Stick a fork in BSA, they are done!
