It looks like its time to stop calling Joe Miller a former Senate candidate.
The Alaska conservative activist who lost a 2010 bid for the Senate after besting incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski in a GOP primary, has filed a form indicating he intends to run for Senate again in 2014, according to documentation from the office of the Secretary of the Senate.
On May 2, Miller filed a Federal Election Commission Form 2 stating his intent to run for Senate next year. Its a document that any candidate must complete upon receiving more than $5,000 in contributions to a political campaign or authorizing another party to take in over $5,000 in contributions.
The form states that Joseph W. Miller of Fairbanks, Alaska, plans to run for Senate as a Republican in 2014, and that Citizens for Joe Miller has been designated as his principal campaign committee.
After POLITICO reported Millers 2014 filing, the Republican posted a statement to his website overnight confirming that he had submitted a document to comply with the complexities of the law.
Support from the grassroots has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are moving forward within those guidelines organizing, fund-raising and coordinating with our volunteer base, Miller said.
The statement continued: Though an official announcement has not been made to date, the Citizens for Joe Miller committee has engaged in a thorough deliberative process and will notify our supporters and the press at such time as we have an official announcement to make.

Good. Someone needs to replace that corrupt Lisa Murkowski.
And without Lisa Murkowski in the race, Miller will take the seat from Begich!
Murkowski’s not up till 2016.
RE: Good. Someone needs to replace that corrupt Lisa Murkowski.
He’s not running to replace Murkoswski (whose term isn’t up until 2016).
He’s already got my support, as feeble as it might be!
I support Miller the last time when he beat Murkowski in the primary. Unfortunately he did not subsequently run a good campaign or be in the least circumspect in his talk and actions. While he would likely be a firm conservative Senator, he may not have what it takes to defeat Begich.
We need a good conservative nominee who would whoop Begich’s butt in the general election.
I love persistence; it is so powerful. Hence my screen name.
Don’t count the chickens yet. Folks in Alaska like to talk a conservative game but want the money to keep flowing. Murkowski won last time because she promised to keep the money coming into Alaska; and she won as an Indy; a hard thing to do. If the Dem frames Miller has the guy that wants to short change Alaska by cutting spending; it will be a tough race.
Murkowski won last time because the democrats knew they couldn’t win the seat and assisted her in keeping a conservative from winning, since all knew that she’s basically a democrat anyway. And of course the payoffs from dear old dad.
I think Begich is ripe for defeat.
I agree.

I think Ron Paul and the Paul crowd are behind him as well and have some involvement with the state party.
