A small Nebraska gun shop has decided to buy its ink pens and post-it notes somewhere else after they said Staples rejected their entry into a marketing contest because they are in the firearms business.
Travis Vonseggern and Bill Jackson own Maple Creek Gunsmithing in Fremont, Neb. The store offers gunsmithing, guns, ammo, and firearms training.gunsmith
They recently entered the Staples PUSH It Forward Contest – hoping to win a $50,000 marketing campaign for their small business. But a few days later, the men received a rejection email:
“We’re sorry, but your small business entry into the Staples PUSH It Forward Contest has been rejected for the following reason(s): Entry contains content that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message; is obscene or offensive; or endorses any form of hate or hate group.”

Well heck, my list of boycotted stores will soon leave me with nowhere to shop, we need conservative stores to spring up to fill the gap.
They undoubtably would have no problem with a local gay bar entering the contest.

I just called, but they swore up and down that staples canada and staples US are separate, but I’m not convinced that girl was lying to me, I think I’ll boycott all the same and spread the word throughout alberta.
Used to buy all our office supplies at Office Depot. Then they started contributing major dollars to a group that provides support services to children during their transition to the gay community.
So I switched to Staples. Then the Boy Scout issue moved to dead center and so I quit shipping via UPS and wanted to use only FedEx. Staples refused to change the shipping on one of my orders and sent it UPS anyway so Staples is now gone from our list.
Fortunately don’t need much in our office right now but did find a great site - clickinks.com - to buy printer toner. Quick delivery, greatly reduced price, seems to last a lot longer than the HP cartridges did. Very pleased. We’ll have to see about the other stuff.

I and my wife just called staples and canceled our Rewards cards. The young woman was Candice and she was extremely polite and canceled all three of our Rewards Cards. The number I called was: 1-800-333-3330
I just spent my last dollars at Staples yesterday....
Time to start a campaign reminding customers that Staples sells computers that could be used to traffic in kiddie porn or by cyber stalkers or cyber bullies.
Ironically, Staples is now one of the few places you can buy a 3D printer for cash.

Someone needs to create a conservative shopping app. I know I like chickfila, don’t like staples. My memory’s not as good as it should be and when I’m out, I forget who’s good and who’s not.
