For Bloomberg, Gun Control Fight Shifts to State Capitals
The New York Times ^ | June 1, 2013 | Javier C. Hernandez

CARSON CITY, Nev. — John W. Griffin is a fast-talking, whiskey-loving, fifth-generation Nevadan who spends his days as a lobbyist courting lawmakers in Stetsons. He advocates for luxury casinos, once brokered a dispute between a brothel and a nightclub, and has helped feuding families resolve tussles over cattle crossings.

Now he is representing the ultimate city slicker, Michael R. Bloomberg, the mayor of New York, who, undaunted by defeat in Congress, is taking his campaign for stricter gun laws to the nation’s state capitals, including here, where a bill to expand the use of criminal background checks is before the State Legislature.

“I thought, ‘Heck, that’s going to be a tough battle,’ ” Mr. Griffin said. “But for a man with unmatchable resources, there’s good reason to be hopeful.”(continued)

So Mr. Griffin admits to being a whore? Where are our billionaires and millionaires?

Bloomtard and his merry band of fascists face a tough fight at the state level where representatives have to live among the people.

That's Nevada's way of saying, "Show me the money!"

I guess “hopeful” depends on your perspective huh? I’m hopeful that these frickin’ out of staters are bussed the hell across the state line to any one of the 5 bordering states and dumped on their asses. Like I said before, with so many of them being called as witnesses and called to “testify” it’s obviously not about Nevadans. News Alert. We do NOT want to be ny, co, ca, ct, md or any other state where the bed wetting libs have managed to subvert peoples rights. Up next, tar and feathers? I was so po’d yesterday when I saw that mx. mark kellie-giffords showed up to give a press conf. I sure wish I’d had a heads up cause I would have been in CC in a heart beat. Well maybe a heart beat and a half.

Another whore that would sell out his own state and the American people in general for a few pieces of silver.

my pre-written response to all things Bloomberg:

Bloomers is a Crony-capitalist, nebbish, poor little rich boy, self hating jew, tiny buttwipe of a man...the only reason he is probably not a fag (the jury is still out) is that he has the greatest aphrodisiac of all time, billions of dollars....he decries the 2nd amendment, but whines about how the enemy’s first amendment rights to worship are being usurped....even though Islam is NOT a religion but a murder cult.....and dont get me started on salt, transfats, cigarettes and sugar

Bloomberg needs to be reduced in stature, to go back to minding his own business, hopefully limited to one city.

His dictatorial impulses are offensive, almost as if some foreign king had come to America and decided to treat Americans as if they were his slaves.

Perhaps the best bet would be for someone to file protracted litigation against him as a person, demanding his presence in court, not just proxies, for an extended period of time.

I’d love to see Bloomturd himself come to Michigan and speak to the legislature with a gallery full of armed Michiganders.

We can open carry in our state capitol building and I would pay money to watch Bloomturd stammer his way through a speech with urine running down his leg.

Mr. Griffin is going to be in for a rude awakening when his buddy, Mikey Bloomers”, decides to take away his whiskey.

this byotch is out at January 1st 3 terms it seems was enough even though he bucked the 2 term limits that the people voted for.......he needs something to feed his incredibly large ego, (which looks even larger in comparison to his incredibly tiny body)....

....can you say napoleon complex?

In my state it doesn’t take long to recognize a lying POS lobbyist. Expanded Criminal Background checks do what? They certainly don’t expand the prosecution of criminals as the miniscule number of gun crime prosecutions stands as prime witness. What they really do is make criminals out of law abiding citizens, and reduce the number of eligible gun buyers, until in the end no one is eligible to purchase a gun. As Rush would say, “Don’t doubt me”.

Background checks are only as good as the information sent to the NICS data base which is not a gun registration site, but sure quacks like one. NICS wants more and more lists of the so called prohibited persons. SEE: http://www.fixnics.org/

There are less than twenty states remaining that do not send a list of their mental patients in to the NICS. That is just one list NICS is complaining about, and if you go to http://www.ruger.com/index.html Look for protect your rights, which will lead to fixnics. An example of one gun manufacturerer on board with this further example of Shall not be infringed.

No compromise!!!

Any “reasonable” gun control measure will be exploited to disarm law abiding citizens!

This is about CITIZEN CONTROL and has NOTHING to do with keeping you safe!

My thoughts also. If I were a fifth generation Nevadan, I’d waylay him and give him a piece of my mind. Nothing but a filthy money-whore.

Kind of funny to me but when we went to the capital last week for the hearing, there were no hoops to jump through to get in and when we approached the front desk the only two things we heard were “You here for room 3128?” and “Are you packing?” I wasn’t, so I don’t know what the restrictions are if I had been. Store it in a locker or something? Other than that no real alarmist kind of “OMG! He’s got a gun.” type reaction would have occured. Maybe just check in with security and retrieve it when you leave. We’re also open carry. For now anyway. Non-constituents get the f out of our state and go ruin your own state.

I agree Bloomberg needs to be reduced in stature, the best place for him to stand is six feet below ground level, quickly.
