Recall Sen. Morse Petition Signatures Have Been Filed With The Colorado Secretary Of State Today!
Basic Freedom Defense Fund | 6-1-2013 | Self

Posted on 06/03/2013 12:08:35 PM PDT by Colorado Doug

This has been confirmed by me with a phone call to the State offices five minutes ago. We did it! This will be a historic first. No Senator has ever been recalled in Colorado before. The completed Senator Morse recall petition is being filed with the Colorado Secretary Of State today. The recall of John Morse is moving on to the next phase. The mud will start to really fly now!

I am not an official spokesman for the group but I did confirm that the signatures are at the Secretary of State's Office now. The count will now be confirmed by the State. This will take two weeks.

the signatures still have to be verified (they won’t be of course) and Dems protect their own.

Should the shoddy, corrupt Colorado legislature and their chicken-lipped governor actually allow the recall vote to occur, all Colorado residents should play liberal....vote and vote often.

Flush the Obama following t*rd.

Two weeks for some government goober to count names on a list? we can count presidential votes in one might but it takes two weeks for a list of some thousands to be tallied?

I am a firm believer that the government takes long on some things to better allow “tweaking of the outcome”.

"the signatures still have to be verified (they won’t be of course) and Dems protect their own."

They won't be able to weasel out of this. This was a very well run recall. (hat's off to the organizers) The signatures were verified in real time as they signed.

A quote from BFDF Facebook regarding the Sen Giron recall:

" Awesome story out of Pueblo with the Giron recall. If you get a minute check out the PFR and support them in their efforts as well.

We also had an encounter with some counter protesters this weekend that I would like to share with you. We had some local kids that were being PAID to hold signs up and counter protest us on Saturday.

One of the young men engaged us in conversation and asked what this was all about. After we explained how far reaching and poorly written the laws are that Sen. Giron voted for, the young man SIGNED our petition!

His group did not show up again. He was upset that the out of state Giron backers had lied to him, even if it was easy work."

Verifying that the signers of a recall petiton actually live in the district of the recallee takes a lot longer than tabulating an aggregate vote.

In Colorado the names on a petition must be counted AND vetted. Your signature doesn’t count on a petition of any kind, if you aren’t a registered voter.

The chances are very good. Even Dems were signing the petition and people are very fired up on this issue. There will be a big turnout to oust him in my opinion.

Hope the organizers did a good job in screening the signatures.
And of course, gathered well above the numbers needed, just in case.

Colorado Doug: You are a fool to say something so stupid

Question for Doug: Did this guy run as an out-of-the-closet gun-grabber, say nothing about being a gun-grabber (in the closet), or just flat-out lie about _not_ being a gun-grabber?

Dang, is that 3 questions?

Either way, GOOD LUCK — a LOT of us outside CO are praying for your success.

I don't know the answer to your question. He is not in my District. I think that he only got in because the hippies in Manitou Springs put him over the top. Thanks for the prayers! We need them to take our state back.

“What he didn’t get a majority of the vote on election day?”

You need to take a civics lesson about American law saying something stupid as that.

No candidate must have majority vote, just more than the other guy.

He only won by about 300 votes. We only needed about 7500 to trigger a recall election. He had 14,000 votes in the election. 16,000 signatures were turned in today to recall him. Many more wanted to sign but were not in his district.

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one.

This guy won his seat as a Democrat. Everyone who pays attention knows what Democrats in 2013 stand for.

In an era where the IRS is fixing elections, I don't think this guy is going to lose his re-election bid.

But if it makes you feel go to go through the motions, by all means do it....

You're outnumbered in Colorado.

The American left ruined California, now they're moving to Co.

You're outnumbered.

But even if you weren't outnumbered, this guy has the IRS on his side.

But I guess there is a reason Casinos and carnivals make so much money....
