Recall Sen. Morse Petition Signatures Have Been Filed With The Colorado Secretary Of State Today!
Basic Freedom Defense Fund | 6-1-2013 | Self

This has been confirmed by me with a phone call to the State offices five minutes ago. We did it! This will be a historic first. No Senator has ever been recalled in Colorado before. The completed Senator Morse recall petition is being filed with the Colorado Secretary Of State today. The recall of John Morse is moving on to the next phase. The mud will start to really fly now!

I am not an official spokesman for the group but I did confirm that the signatures are at the Secretary of State's Office now. The count will now be confirmed by the State. This will take two weeks.

the signatures still have to be verified (they won’t be of course) and Dems protect their own.

Should the shoddy, corrupt Colorado legislature and their chicken-lipped governor actually allow the recall vote to occur, all Colorado residents should play liberal....vote and vote often.

Flush the Obama following t*rd.

Two weeks for some government goober to count names on a list? we can count presidential votes in one might but it takes two weeks for a list of some thousands to be tallied?

I am a firm believer that the government takes long on some things to better allow “tweaking of the outcome”.

"the signatures still have to be verified (they won’t be of course) and Dems protect their own."

They won't be able to weasel out of this. This was a very well run recall. (hat's off to the organizers) The signatures were verified in real time as they signed.

A quote from BFDF Facebook regarding the Sen Giron recall:

" Awesome story out of Pueblo with the Giron recall. If you get a minute check out the PFR and support them in their efforts as well.

We also had an encounter with some counter protesters this weekend that I would like to share with you. We had some local kids that were being PAID to hold signs up and counter protest us on Saturday.

One of the young men engaged us in conversation and asked what this was all about. After we explained how far reaching and poorly written the laws are that Sen. Giron voted for, the young man SIGNED our petition!

His group did not show up again. He was upset that the out of state Giron backers had lied to him, even if it was easy work."

Verifying that the signers of a recall petiton actually live in the district of the recallee takes a lot longer than tabulating an aggregate vote.

What he didn’t get a majority of the vote on election day?

In Colorado the names on a petition must be counted AND vetted. Your signature doesn’t count on a petition of any kind, if you aren’t a registered voter.

The chances are very good. Even Dems were signing the petition and people are very fired up on this issue. There will be a big turnout to oust him in my opinion.
