i mean, isn’t a salad what everyone grew up going to Mcdonalds for? don’t we all know that’s what the “billions served” is referencing, all the salads they’ve sold the last 50+ years? /s

“Hard to scarf down a salad while driving down the road. Maybe they could blend it and put it in a cup.

“McLiquaSalad with Thousand Island, please... “

Didn’t McD’s do exactly 12-15 years ago? They called it a “Salad Shaker” and it came in a clear plastic cup with a lid on it. Put the dressing in, shake it up.....ouila.

My dog won’t eat anything from McD’s. He will clean out the cat’s litter box but will not eat a Big Mac.

It’s not a local thing.. they struck the Angus line... I see here that they have introduced whacky 1/4 pounder variants.

The salads are actually pretty good at McDonalds. I do the same thing as you and dump a tin of sardines into them. If the sardines are packed in olive oil, there’s your dressing right there. The only other thing I like to eat there is the breakfast biscuits. Make sure you ask for them with “round eggs” and they will grill fresh eggs for you on the spot. Otherwise you get those previously frozen egg patties which are fairly disgusting.

The eggs in the McDonald’s breakfast items are fresh. The difference between the “round egg” and the standard egg on a sandwich is...one is SCRAMBLED!

Yes, when they make an Egg McMuffin they crack the egg into a little round metal ring that sits on the grill and poke the yoke and make a sort of sunny side up egg. When they make the other breakfast sandwiches they take THE SAME EGGS and whisk them (like you would at home) and then put them into a different metal form (to keep them a consistent size) and basically make a plain omelet out of them.

When you ask for a “real” or “round” egg on your not-McMuffin breakfast sandwich they just give you an egg that was previously destined for an Egg McMuffin. It may be a bit hotter since ordering ANYTHING special at McDonalds requires them to make it fresh (just order your burger without catsup and then put some on after, if you want it hot).
