Yes, a very tricky task since Fat Boy doesn’t know any conservatives that live in NJ.

The liberal media has already started their line, “Oh, you better not nominate a conservative or Obama will stop liking you and you will have a much tougher election in the fall. You better not do it... You better not...”

Fat chance. He’s still all misty thanks to his bromance with obama. He won’t risk his new love by doing anything to make obama mad.

I guess we can all pretty much surmise what political persuasion is gonna be. I guess we all can pretty much surmise that, coincidentally, Obama will release 6, 8 10, 100 billion dollars in post Sandy relief aid, too.

If he appoints a Dem, he doesn't have a shot at the next election....not as a Republican.

He thinks he's hot and maybe he is but he might be cutting his own throat with what he's been pulling.

Krispy Kream will no doubt nominate a lefty, since he is one. I wouldn’t be surprised if the blubber-bucket doesn’t change parties in a week or two.

Is Torricelli available? The NJ electorate has certain expectations for corruption.

They could get Bill Clinton to buy a house in Newark and then put him in.

I ask this because I really want to know the answer. Can a person actually live openly as a Conservative in NJ? I know that we have some staunch Conservatives here on this board that live in NJ but it seems that hate for Conservatives is at a dangerous level in NJ today.

It should go to Doug Forrester. He’s the one that was cheated out of if after that slimeball Torricelli ducked out and the Dems broke the rules to stick in Lautenberg.

Forrester had it in the bag, but naturally and surprising no one, the Dems changed the rules.

A bunch of governors have appointed themselves to vacant Senate seats. None recently (I remember when Wendy Anderson did it in Minnesota in the ‘70s), and none were then elected to the seat on their own. Political suicide.

Conservatives should probably be a little bit realistic here. We are NOT going to get a Ted Cruz out of this. If we get someone who is a useful vote on a handful of issues, call it a win. If it’s someone who can actually win the seat next time, even better. Expect very little. To the right of Lautenberg is all we can hope for.

Yes...there’s quite a few of us and many parts of the state are pretty conservative...Warren, Hunterdon, Sussex, Morris Counties, Monmouth, Ocean, Cape May...Here’s the problem.....15% African-American, 19% Hispanic and 9% Asian...do the math on how these groups vote...if you follow the NJ Turnpike on a map, it explains everything, Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Woodbridge, Princeton, Camden...it’s simply a case of numbers..rather depressing...

Could someone please tell me why this Cory Booker guy is supposedly such a great politician? He was the Mayor of Newark, which, if I’m not mistaken, is a virtual hell-hole of a place with some of the highest crime rates in the country.

Maybe I’m missing something?
