Man in Custody After Suspicious Car Found Near Dupont Circle
WRC (NBC 4 DC) ^ | 6/3/13 | NBC4. DC

Posted on 06/03/2013 4:31:24 PM PDT by VanShuyten

People in the area reported a man driving erratically and yelling from a black Honda Civic with signs and stickers -- some referencing Sept. 11, 2001 -- about 3 p.m. Monday, News4’s Jackie Bensen reported. One sign read "Death to Capitalism," bicyclist Jen House told News4......

Several of what appear to be gas cans and propane canisters are visible inside the car, which prompted police to close several streets in the area and evacuate Ross Elementary School and an apartment building as a precaution, Bensen reported.

The guys making bank selling the “Death to Capitalism” bumper stickers must be laughing their butts off at all the hippies and Occupiers buying them.

“DuPont Circle is also known as the “fruit loop”.”

Back in about 1952, we lived in a second floor apartment across the street, clockwise, from the old Peoples Drugstore on DuPont Circle. Of course DC was a whole lot different back then.

I just started an album for freebies of bumper sticker/t shirt slogans for others to print. So far I've only put up two versions of this but there will be others coming.

“Death to Capitalism,”

Hmmm, are you sure that wasn’t

an undocumented ostensibly-52-year-old, male, scandal-delirious, community organizer?

It is very possible he was going around the circle in an effort to gain supports of his cause.

D.C. has gone through a boat load of changes over the years.

As far as cities go, I still think it’s the best city in the world. Expensive, but I don’t know of any other city that has the open spaces with so many monuments, memorials and access to history than D.C.

Try London, with Hyde Park, St James Park, Regent’s Park, etc and tons more history - or Paris, with the Bois de Boulogne, and tons more history.

Washington, D.C. tends to attract this kind of person. If it wasn’t for the gas cans and propane tanks in the car, he’d fit right in.

DuPont Circle—hangout after hours of gays, I’ve read.

I remember when Benghazi Barry wanted to appoint Kal Pen (of ??? and Kumar Go To White Castle, or some such ridiculous movie) to some sort of “Czar” position in the “administration”.

Seems poor Kal was on DuPont Circle late one evening when he was mugged-—he lost his cell phone in the heist.

After that happened, Benghazi Barry was no longer offering Kal the “Czar job”.

Some surmised it was because the missing phone may have had contact numbers on it that might have been ...shall we say, injurious to the “Won”.

(all alledged, of course.)
