The state Senate and House, after short debates, voted overwhelmingly early Wednesday to approve a bill blocking public disclosure of photos of homicide victims and some other records in reaction to the Newtown school massacre.

The Senate took up the bill at 1:17 a.m. and voted 33-2 to approve it at about 1:35 a.m. Voting no were Democratic Sens. Edward Meyer of Guilford and Anthony Musto of Trumbull.

This vote will stir up the wackos even more.

The problem is when the government starts making those wackos look like they are making sense and there have been too many questionable big events during the Obama administration that do not totally pass the conspiracy smell test....one ok but so many??? They start to look like staged events with an agenda in mind.

Let's face it in just the last couple of years we have things like Fast and furious, the congresswoman being shot, the Colorado shooting, Sandy Hook, Boston marathon all being used to tell us how much we need gun control. In most of those cases the Tea party were blamed first...and now we have a dem controlled state legislature hiding info from the public.....If that is not something that makes you go hmmmmm nothing will.....

Yes, there is a huge treasonous problem with the Benghazi scandal, IRS and so many more things.... but these others are just adding to a picture that is truly frightening if the conspiracy theorist are even slightly correct.

Good. Let’s put a lid on providing 911 calls to the media for our entertainment as well. I see no reason for somebody’s anguished weeping over the dead bodies of their loved ones to be broadcast to the world.

“those of us out here wondering what really happened are being blueballed by bureaucrats.”

LOL

Are you sure that’s the term you were looking for?

No this only begs the question WHY??? Why did it take the state legislature making a law for this situation??? All this does is add fuel to the conspiracy fire on the internet on this topic. Something even I blew off until this.

This in conjunction with the home computer being seized and subsequently having its hard-drive destroyed "with a hammer or screwdriver" (kinda different marks on those, no?) would lend a lot of weight to this... Then there's how the story kept changing.

I don't think that it didn't happen; but I would be unsurprised to find out that the event was staged/planned (i.e. the fedgov getting some [mentally unbalanced] schmuck all riled-up and let loose). That scenario isn't quite a false-flag, but it's close.

Talk about enabling the conspiracy theorists! No government at any level should be able to restrict information like this. Personally, I’d like to see the video of Lanza entering the school, and just before the point at which he takes his own life. The school had reportedly just installed a new security system, complete with digital cameras.

I have not even paid any attention to the conspiracy stuff yet with this story, other that seeing posted somewhere that there was an exercise for school hostage taking going on next door to this (at least I think that is what it said).

But after this I will go back and see what is being said about this event. All this did is draw my attention to the subject.

Oh, and an interesting article that tied the father of this shooter to the father of the Colorado shooter. Both supposedly witnesses in a huge international banking trial.

This vote will stir up the wackos even more. I distrust the government as much as most, but those who claim the massacre was faked or set up are nuts.

I dunno -- there are some really odd/off things about this case that really are explained by government staging/planning this: how the guy's computer was seized [if he was a lone wolf there's no reason to suspect conspiracy] and the hard-drive destroyed "with a hammer or screw-driver" [both of these leave quite different markings].

They come across as crazy as those who think 911 was done by the US or with the help of the US.

As for 911, I don't think that was set-up, but I do believe that the government took advantage of the subsequent chaos. I seem to remember a story about Billions missing just up and disappeared a few days before 11 Sep, the records for which were destroyed in one of the buildings kinda nearby.

Certainly the bailing out of the airlines set precedent for TARP and all that crap.

"I distrust the government as much as most, but those who claim the massacre was faked or set up are nuts"

Faked, no. However, I think what is being hidden here is that there was never a rifle at the scene. The first reports(read, no time to spin the truth) were that the perp had two handguns. Then Eric Holder is dispatched to the scene and suddenly a Bushmaster AR-15 is involved.

Here's my theory.

As soon as the news was filtered through the white house. The (never let a crisis go to waste, plan was implemented). The white house dispatched Eric Holder to the scene to make absolutely sure that it was found the perp used an assault rifle, no matter what the truth.

That is the reason for the sudden change in reporting of two handguns to the bushmaster AR15. This is also the reason not one surveillance image has ever been released of this scene. The guy NEVER had a rifle. This was a story cooked up by the white house and now needs to be covered up permanently.

Under the proposal, the Newtown town clerk wouldn’t have had to release victims’ death certificates, contrary to the state’s Freedom of Information Law, and the names of witnesses under 18 could be deleted from police reports.

The above language was apparently in a prior version that maybe didn’t get passed? I am OK with withholding the photos, but I think the death certificates should be public record. From the article, I can’t tell if they are or are not in the version that passed. There are a lot of “questions” about that whole incident.
