Jim McDermott to Megyn Kelly: How can we be sure these IRS tea-party victims are telling the truth?

He’s basically accusing them of making a mountain out of a molehill, emphasizing that no matter how egregiously the IRS behaved, they couldn’t stop the groups from operating without tax exemption. They could still go out there and preach the tea-party gospel; they’d just have to do it, at least for awhile, without the benefit of 501(c)(4) status that liberal groups have comparatively little trouble obtaining. Tough it out, wingnuts. Presumably, if a high-school student applied for federal college loans and the application was held up for discriminatory reasons, McDermott would shrug and say, hey — no one’s stopping the kid from finding the tuition money elsewhere, right? Technically true, but waaay beside the point.

And of course, as Kelly notes, discriminatory processing of tea-party applications does affect how the groups operate. Some groups, fearful of IRS intrusiveness, won’t apply for exemption at all; some people thinking of starting a group might decide not to.

The key bit here, via Twitchy, comes at around 2:40 when Kelly presses McDermott on what one witness said yesterday about losing out on a $30,000 donation because the group couldn’t obtain 501(c)(4) status in timely fashion. McDermott’s reply: How do we know that’s true? Testimony is testimony, but where’s the evidence? And that’s where we are this afternoon, with a top Democrat insisting he’s not blaming the victims while idly wondering if they’re lying to Congress, and whether maybe they should suck it up on the exemption process when liberal groups aren’t being asked to.

I see your point, Jim. After all, since you clearly don’t give a rodent’s rectum about the oath of office you swore, why would you lean towards believing that these people are going to abide by their sworn oath to tell the truth?

And remember, this is the guy who illegally leaked a conference call intercepted (a.k.a. “wiretapped”)from Newt Gingrich’s phone in 1996. More here:

The man should be in prison, just like the rest of his party of scumbags, douchebags, and liars.

Anyone know if McDermott ever paid the judgment?

McDermott is an a**hole on the same level as Alan Grayson.

I’m waiting for him to say one word about “leaks”, the AP, and Rosen. Please, please, please let him try to say something about how bad leaks are and then try to defend Holder’s actions against Rosen and Fox. Oh, please God, that wouldn’t that be sweet???

“Jim McDemott to Megyn Kelly: How can we be sure these IRS tea-party victims are telling the truth?”

If he is not sure, then why doesn't he go ahead and charge them with lying to Congress? That will open up further investigations and more evidence can be presented in open court so the IRS can be shut down once and for all.

“Jim McDemott to Megyn Kelly: How can we be sure these IRS tea-party victims are telling the truth?”

Well, as pointed out by CBS, yes CBS

Democrats were allowed to provide any “progressive” groups to testify and they could not find one.

FURTHER! IRS admitted as much and affirmed they had been directed target certain political 501c applicants by their leadership locally and have even explained how it is quite impossible for agents to act on their own.

The leadership created a new layer of paperwork for not only TEA Party applicants and other but, also for their workers and supervisors who would be managed to ensure the questionnaire was being complied with and delays had the desired effect.

Mcdermott v.

a: To cast despersion on the victim.

b: To make victim the feel foolish or insignificant.

-mcdermotted past tense

Ex. "The prosecutor mcdermotted the rape victim until she was no longer able to respond from emotional distress."

How can we be sure these IRS tea-party victims are telling the truth?”

Logical processing of an idea within a specific context of knowledge is necessary and sufficient to establish the idea's truth. If one relates an idea or a belief to the full context of the facts and reduces the idea to the data of the senses, and integrates it with the rest of one's conclusions then the idea has been validated

The true scandal within this scandal sparked yesterday with Eastman’s testimony and is going to grow so fast it becomes the scandal itself: The IRS’s leakage of donor information to leftist pressure groups. That’s not a crime against the organizations as much as a crime against the ordinary people who want to donate to their causes.

The IRS is also leaking that information to other agencies, who harass the same donors with more regulatory mischief. Donate money to Tea Party Express? In addition to the IRS audit, you’ll also get heavy scrutiny from OSHA if you are a factory, USDA if you have a farm, SEC if you work in a brokerage. ATF if you work in a gun shop. You don’t even have to be the owner of one of these enterprises, you could be just a broom-pusher working for them.

Who are McDermotts donors? Where do they live? Who else do they give money to? Do they have a criminal past?

Americans want to know.

I LOVE how he shows the true face of the Beast they/we are creating.

The few still somewhat rational, not yet fully seduced by they dark side voters need to see what will be turned against US.

Cruella Sibelius' current Death Panel demo should also be a good wake up call for those who can still hear the alarm ringing.

All we need next is a "crisis" they'll not let go to waste and then we get a new flag with 57 stars.
