The WSJ is reporting that in addition to monitoring cell phone records, emails and web activity, the National Security Agency is monitoring credit card transactions. "NSA has established similar relationships with credit-card companies, three former officials said."

I’ve found Beck&Co to be somewhat “ahead of the curve” (prophetic) on a number of things, though it’s widely assumed “he went off the cliff” a long time ago. Yes, some of the things he says are downright wacky, but that’s another story.

As an aside, my former IT guy from Balt, who had his own company and worked for my Family Farm business (retail software/hardware systems consultant) before I closed on 11/11/11, told me in 2009, that this stuff was going on for many years. He and his partner had very high security clearances, at one time, and wired-up the lower floors of “The Puzzle Palace” (NSA) back in the early/mid-80s, and did computer installs/ maintenance for them, for several years. He wouldn’t say any more about it.
