Even if Colorado would let those counties go, can you imagine the Democrat controlled US Senate allowing a new state, which would likely elect 2 Republican senators???? that’s when the Puerto Rico becomes a state...
think the Hawaii/Alaska becoming states debacle...there was a reason 2 territories became states at the same time.

The Yankees fabricated a rump "Virginia Legislature", which proceeded to vote in favor of those counties seceding from Virginia ... The real Commonwealth of Virginia was not in a good position to argue about it.
