The old saying “it’s hard to kill a bad thing” comes to mind . . .

I’m sure Michelle is out buying a $2000 black dress as we speak.

Well, with Hugo Chavez, Frank Lautenberg, and Richard Ramirez waiting for him in He’ll, there will soon be enough to start a game of Bridge.

Good! May he rot in hell. I pray for his soul to be appropriately dealt with.

I’m not going to put Mandela up on a pedestal. But, he helped a transition that could have been very violent. He then set a precedent by stepping down when his term was over. How many people have been handed great power and then handed it back?

He was a committed Marxist who did not impose a Marxist dictatorship, and while there could have been horrible retributions against the white South Africans, he did not do it. Neighboring Rhodesia has not been so fortunate, nor has most of the rest of Africa.

Having said that, his successors have not covered themselves in glory. They are in the process of turning South Africa into what the rest of Africa has become.

Looks like you haven’t been keeping up, with all due respect. Plenty of evictions (and murders) of white farmers under Thabo Mbeki. The ANC (thoroughly Communist) will never give up power to any other.

Whether or not there is any real basis for it, there is a fairly widespread belief among South African expatriates that the death of Mandela will trigger violence on the level of an attempted ethnic cleansing. No idea where it comes from, but they do believe that.

Neither has Mandela himself. The media has not been too adept at covering what happened during Mandela’s presidency.

How many people have been handed great power and then handed it back?

Especially in that region of the world.

Buying? Putting it on our tab, most likely. And a mere $2,000? HA! The shoes, maybe!

It will be interesting to see what happens after Mandela...will this be the green light for SA to sink into the Zimbabwe model? I have always wondered if his being alive was a moderating influence.

I won’t be crying any tears for the commie terrorist. He’s another one whose had not one word to say about the genocide of white South Africans. No matter what else one can say, ot mist be admitted that at least under apartheid, the whites fed, educated, and gave medical care to the blacks. I say that not to excuse apartheid, but to show the difference in the groups have treated the group out of power. The ruling ANC is not even taking care of its blacks citizens, much less feeding, educating, or offering medical care to whites as the group out of power. They are turning a blind eye to the white genocide, when they’re not themselves (government officials) singing “Kill The Boer”.
