Fox News host Neil Cavuto on Saturday cut the mic of the incredibly "offensive" and "obnoxious" liberal shill Julian Epstein for refusing to have a serious discussion about the current White House scandals and instead insisting on echoing Democrat talking points (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary): Neil Cavuto Cuts Mic on 'Obnoxious' Liberal Guest Echoing White House Talking Points
Cavuto asked his guest, What part of Custer dont you understand here, where youre surrounded, and you see one incident after another that comes up, and it all it all comes back to the same basic issue: privacys invaded or potentially invaded, institutions of all sorts doing pretty much the same thing. There is a pattern.
If you want to conflate and combine all these issues and then make these general statements, you can do that, Epstein said. I just dont think its a thoughtful way of approaching it.
Cavuto interrupted his guest and shouted, Why dont you think about what I said, Julian? Im asking you to think and connect all the no, no, Julian, dont play the politics game.
I dont connect the dots, argued Epstein.
This got Cavuto even angrier. Julian, Im telling you, drop the liberal thing and focus on the reality thing. You have one entity after another going after the American people. You have one system of government, one agency, one department after another essentially doing the same thing. You can call that conflating. I am telling you there is a pattern, and youre just shrugging your shoulders. But I guarantee you, Julian, if it were George Bush doing it, you would rightly be all over it.
Thats wrong, Epstein dishonestly said. Thats actually incorrect because look, you cant conflate all of these issues. You have to speak about them separately because theyre very different. In the case of the IRS, I agree the targeting was wrong, but there was never any connection to the White House. Nobodys proven that.
At that moment, one of Cavutos other guests, Charlie Gasparino, said off-camera, This guy would make a lousy reporter.
As Epstein continued with the White House talking points, Cavuto interrupted again saying, Im not going to get anywhere arguing this point. Ben Stein, Julian, no, you are saying nothing. Im sorry, Julian, youre saying nothing and its offensive. Because Ben Stein, Julian, why dont you talk facts? Its annoying how obnoxious you can be on the reality.
Epstein tried again to give the Democratic Party line, and Cavuto snapped, Im not going to play this game with you, Julian. You play the same damn game dismissing one institution.
When Epstein continued to speak, Cavuto said, Cut his mic. Guys, cut his mic, hes going nowhere fast. Cut his mic.
Cavuto then moved onto to Stein before once again saying, Cut his damn mic!
Which raises a question: Julian Epstein is a shill willing to say anything without any regard for its veracity to advance Democrats. As such, why would Cavuto have him on?
Hes a broken record of Democrat talking points nothing more, nothing less. As a result, he adds absolutely nothing to the discussion - never has, never will.
His place is on MSNBC where he can repeat the White House line with all the other parrots.
Therefore, unless the folks on Fox like these kinds of fights on Saturday mornings, maybe they should think better of scheduling people such as Julian Epstein.
Certainly, there have to be many far more intellectually honest people on the left interested in having a meaningful discussion about the important issues facing the nation than this shameless shill.
Liberals are claiming this violation of our liberties as, “Well, it was a bi-partisan Bush era law...”
We need to dig out all their statements from prior to 2008 when they were pitching fits about such laws and play them back fro them.
Hannity has him on because he knows it will generate controversy and thereby viewers. Hannity thrives on controversy. He thinks it's really cool when he can have several guests all taking over each other and stirring the pot, which accomplishes nothing.
I rarely listen to Hannity for this reason.
“JULIAN EPSTEIN, FRMR. CHIEF MIN. COUNSEL, HOUSE JUDICIARY CMTE.: Well, there is a number of rubs. I would just respectfully disagree with my old chairman, Mr. Sensenbrenner, in terms of who is covered by this. I think it is covered by anyone the president wants to deem as covered, it’s not just the al Qaeda terrorists. The plain language of the order says anybody, who does anything as far harboring someone who is connected to an undefined term of terrorism.
The terrorism conduct isn’t defined anywhere within the executive order, so I think the breadth of it is startling. And again, if you go back to Supreme Court precedent, World War II and the Civil War precedent, I think one of the reasons the Supreme Court, one of the continual threads the Supreme Court has issued is that these military tribunals really need to be confined to combatants.
Secondly, I think that it’s on very, very shaky ground without constitutional authorization. Chairman Sensenbrenner, I think, has been one of the most effective chairmen ever of the House Judiciary Committee. When they passed the Patriot Act, the authority that the president sought to get so that he could investigate and prosecute these crimes, Chairman Sensenbrenner was able to get through the committee those provisions on a 36 to nothing vote.
It seems to me to be wholly unreasonable to expect that this Congress could — would not stand shoulder to shoulder with the president in fashioning the appropriate safeguards if you do want to use military tribunals.”
If mac daddy was driving down the street, jumped the curb and hit a grandmother and a little child Juan Williams would blame it on the grandmother for being in mac daddies way.
Is that Barry Manilow’s fraternal twin?
I see he used the same Biden hairplug plan, trying not to look older.
I like Julien. He and Estrich give insight as to how friends will argue and what parts will have shallow context.
Saw it and told three members of my family to dvr it when it is repeated on Fox Business tomorrow morning. I have never seen sweet Neal Cavuto so angry. It was epic!
They always have at least one liberal on the panel. Some are more obnoxious than others.
They are not different, they were all designed to keep dumBO and the Bolshies in power. Benghazi, IRS, Rosen, and AP, they all perpetuated lies.
I almost never listen to the balanced part, because, they never add anything to the discussion.
Bump
He has Liberace eye’s. Any more housekeeping and he will look like Liza Minnelli’s ex husband David Guest.
There is a good reason to put these clowns on. They show anyone and everyone who listens, just how empty and devoid of anything like reason and logic, their demoKaRATZ point of view is.
Let the RATZ talk. The more they talk, the more people shun them.
Any thinking person eventually feels embarrassed by their performance.
As for the low brow, low IQ, blue collar, (and some white collar) union thug low info types, well, you can’t reach them anyway. Sometimes, stupid just can’t be fixed.
Every time....I mean every time Hannity has two guests with opposing viewpoints on, they end up shouting at each other. That's why when I hear people demand there always be a person with an opposite viewpoint to argue with another speaker, I think of Hannity's useless guests. Nobody get convinced about anything...the listener is mightily annoyed. Even Hannity has a tendency to talk over his guests. I don't care who he has on, he should let the idiot lib guest express his opinion and then counter it. It's why I don't listen to Sean much anymore.
I turn the channel when that SMIRKING GAY GUY, JULIAN is on....he is DISGUSTING!!! Actually I MUTE or TURN the CHANNEL when almost ANY of these LYING LIBERLAS are on!! FOX....TAKE NOTICE!!
And sometimes they have that LESBIAN Sally Kohn!! What an AIRHEAD.
No -- Joan Rivihs....
Off topic, but these one-percenters (as they hate to be called) can afford the best plastique, but they all end up looking like dogsh*t.............remind me never to get the 'lil bags under my eyes "done".
Back to Manilow....being as he's an obvious poofter, and being as we live in the same valley as Palm Sproings (gayer than San Francisco)where he lives, we see horrible pics of him all the time on TV.
LOL!
Epstein is an obnoxious creep.
It’s important not to live in an echo chamber, IMHO.
Cavuto is one of my favorites...Neil and Stuart Varney
