Obama’s “Dirty Wars” — and a soiled presidency
Salon ^ | 6/9/13 | Andrew O'Hehir

Posted on 06/09/2013 7:56:54 PM PDT by Typical_Whitey

This is what it’s come to for Barack Obama: Reality has sunk in for many Americans, who at last understand that the guy we elected on the naive expectation that he would undo the excesses of the Bush-Cheney national security state has instead made them much worse. It will be difficult, if not impossible, for Obama to escape this legacy now. He is the drone president, the assassination president, the domestic-surveillance president, whose entire administration has a professionalized passion for secrecy that makes the low-rent paranoids of the Nixon White House look like Keystone Kops. I did not suspect that I would ever again find an occasion to quote a Sarah Palin gag line, but hey: How is that hopey-changey stuff workin’ out for ya?

Any adult that couldn’t see through a guy who (’s handlers) got Jim Ryan’s (the usurper’s election opponent) court-sealed divorce records unsealed to be able to leak sufficient, rumored, embarrassing information to win an election Barry never would’ve otherwise won, just like the much grander scale fraud in his election against Romney, just doesn’t value thinking.

Paragraph 8, which begins with "“What I think is dangerous is that because Obama is who he is, an incredibly brilliant man who has the trust of the overwhelming majority of liberals — and probably a significant number of traditional conservatives"

Seriously, mega projectile vomit inducing stuff. This writer owes me a new keyboard.

It takes the idiots a little longer to catch on.

But, by then, it may be too late.

That’s why they’re idiots.

“What (Sen. Ron) Wyden (D-Oregon) was saying to me,” says Scahill, “was that whether it’s the kill program or it’s domestic surveillance or it’s certain secret aspects of the Patriot Act, there are laws that the American people can go online and read, and reasonable people will interpret those in relatively the same way. And then there’s a second set of laws, which consist of the way the administration has interpreted what those laws say. So what he’s saying to me is that on any of these issues, if I could tell you how they’ve interpreted what you believe a law to say, it would shock you.”

What is this guy smoking? Obama trusted by "a significant number of traditional conservatives"? Probably by close to zero (if you exclude people with dementia).

It's amazing how keeping all of your school records sealed will make people believe that you are brilliant.

And of course Obama was a "constitutional law professor" at the University of Chicago, despite having never written a scholarly article in the field of law. But he did write a fictionalized autobiography. Or at least put his name to it.

Journalists are SUPPOSED to be first with news, but they’re only now coming to conclusions that we held SIX YEARS AGO.

Let’s say there was a pizzeria so slow in serving that you could MAKE your own pizza faster and more deliciously than it took them to cook up your order:

Would you keep on eating there...?

In 5 years there will be NO such thing as any of the major networks —they’ll be like Blockbuster video, or buggy-whip makers, shells of their former selves, and then gone altogether.

Presstitues didn’t go into reporting to report, their goal is to participate, and TAKE A SIDE. To advocate, to control, to mold the flow of events.

Joe 6-pack has that figured out.

Roller coaster is not just a wacky scary fun or fun scary ride for a summer evening.

It’s a metaphor.

It was worse than that. Before the Ryan divorce papers were illegally dumped 9 weeks before the general election, there was Obama's opponent in the Democrat primary, Blair Hull, who was the pushed out of the race with selectively (and illegally) leaked court documents.

This thing about Obama being a Constitutional law professor absolutely slays me. He was a freakin’ adjunct professor! Not even tenure track! My husband is in academia (a full professor) and so I get to hear the scuttlebutt on stuff like that ... and believe me, a mere adjunct professor is the lowest of the low on the academic totem pole.

Andrew O’Hehir (the author) is an extraordinarily courageous man, because now the IRS will audit him, the EPA will fine him, the DHS will surveil him, and a drone may actually kill him.
