So far, at least, Paul has not put his support behind the measure. I’m thankful for that. Nor has Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Yet, Paul is on record as supporting illegals in the past. He is FOR immigration reform that lets them stay..

Juan McLame and Light in the Loafers Lindsey, not to mention the "annointed one" Rubio!

The RNC seems to think the winning strategy is to become "dimcratic light", and that will work as well as nominating old tired men like Dole & McLame.

OMG...are there still people left who think that Republican politicians are the friend of America and diametrically opposed to the Democrats??? How many more betrayals will it take before people wake up?

Republicans are Democrats who believe that the American People should be slaves of corporations that control the government (which, in turn, destroys competition for them). Democrats cut out the middleman and think that we should just be slaves of the government.

Oh and about the border security, do you really think that will become a reality?

No.. that's just a bone they're throwing at us. "Comprehensive immigration reform" is designed to serve the interests of the illegals and their sponsors in Congress.

This calls to mind the perennial question about bears and what they do or don’t do under the cover of the trees.

There are times when I actually begin to think that many who wear a Republican jersey are, in fact, Democrats. One such issue that makes my eyebrows raise is the current immigration reform bill being put forth by the Gang of Eight

What has your "team" EVER done to make you believe that they are anti-illegal immigration? If anything, they are MORE pro-illegal than the Democrats.

Our only hope is a third party conservatives can get behind. In 1852 the Republicans were formed in response to the perception that slavery was going to be constitutionally allowed to move into the West. The Democrats were for it...and the Whigs were split. With the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act in 1854 it looked as though the slavers had won.

It took people to stand up and say this will not be allowed. They were called Republicans, today that same party looks more like the old Whigs. Go along and get along as Obama makes war on the Bill of Rights, most low information voters don’t care. And frankly, neither do a lot of Republicans.

I’m though voting for these guys...I held my nose and voted Romney last year...no more go along, get along RINOs.

I agree with you. We need a party that steals the working people from both parties. It has to appeal to everyone who wants to raise a family, work for a fair paycheck, and be left alone. Unfortunately, it requires good moral people (the kind John Adams told us the constitution requires) and those people are dwindling in number every year as the government and corps drive them onto the dole.
