I can remember back in the day in boot camp when we were required to attend Sunday services. Obviously those days are long gone.

I did my basic and advance training in the late 1960's. I was never required to attend religious services. Once, we were required to attend a retreat where one could observe what ever they chose.

In Navy boot camp, everyone had to attend religious services. If you were an atheist, agnostic or ambivalent ... you still had to attend a religious service (on Sunday). The only choices were Protestant or Catholic.

During my two tours in Korea we had an official religious retreat in Seoul. Bet that’s long gone.
