Calif. to require schools to have bathrooms, locker rooms for transgender students

Schools in the state of California will soon be required to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their preference.

A bill being discussed in the state senate would mandate that schools have bathrooms and locker rooms that are fully equipped for transgender students, as well as requiring the schools to allow transgender students to take part in sports and other activities of the gender of their choosing.

Assembly Bill 1266 is aimed at prohibiting “discrimination against transgender students” in the state’s school districts, Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco), the bill’s sponsor, told The Christian Post.

The bill, which the state assembly passed last month, is expected to pass in the Democratic state senate and be signed into law by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown.

Supporters of the bill believe that it will help end discrimination against transgender students.

“It’s about ensuring transgender students, just like all students, have a fair chance to be themselves and succeed at school,” Melissa Goodman, a senior staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California, told the Los Angeles Times.

Among those opposing the legislation is the California Catholic Conference, who said that the bill is extraneous because laws preventing discrimination against transgender students are already in place in California.

“Our legislature tends to get involved in things that are better handled in local school districts,” said Carol Hogan, a spokeswoman for the conference, told the Los Angeles Times. “One size does not fit all.”

Similar policies are already in place in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Last year, Massachusetts passed similar legislation, making it the first state in the country to mandate nondiscrimination policies in school based on gender identity. On Tuesday schools in Multinomah County, Oregon were also required to begin using gender-neutral bathrooms.

Isn't it discriminatory, sexually insensitive and likely illegal to count M-to-F and F-to-M transsexuals exactly the same and force them to share restrooms? Won't the manly-girls pumped up on testosterone abuse the girly-boys?

Why just schools? How about all public places, businesses, homes, ?

They now have their foot in the door. There is no stopping them from expanding the regulation to cover everything everywhere. Welcome to the asylum.

So there are men interested in women, men interested in men,
men interested in men and women, women interested in men, women interested in women, women interested in men and women, men who chopped their schmekel off and are interested in women, men who chopped their schmekel off and are interested in men, men who chopped their schmekel off and are interested in men and women, women who found and grafted a used schmekel and are interested in men, women who found and grafted a used schmekel and are interested in women, women who found and grafted a used schmekel and are interested in men and women. (Did I miss anybody?)

Logically, there has to be a separate bathroom for each one of these.

Transvestites only wear the clothing of the opposite sex. Transgenders usually take hormones and have surgery to try to make their bodies like the other sex.

As CA goes, so goes the nation.

This will be coming to a blue state near you.

The acceleration of the USA into a God-less toilet continues, and, one day soon, there WILL be a dear, dear price to pay.

The secular progressive march to doom continues.

Thank God my older sons are out of school, and my youngest son is in a private Christian school. I fear for my grandsons, however.

A punk bank will put a song entitled: “Smoking in the trans-gendered bathroom.”

Well that’s not fair! The LGBTQ will not put up with this!

What about separate bathrooms for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Queer students?

I can see why boys would want to be with other boys, and girls with other girls in the bathroom. But what makes the lawmakers think that transgender people want to be with other transgender people in the bathroom?

Was there a study, or is this just ignorant thinking?

They won’t be with other transgender people, They get to choose whichever bathroom they want to use.

There won’t be new bathrooms for transgenders.

Since medical records are protected, the school probably can’t get any proof of the sex change, so they most likely will just be allowed to use either bathroom.

I believe the Olympics already do. I’m pretty sure that in international fencing competitions sugically-created “females” are allowed to compete against actual females in the women’s divisions.

Of course surgically-created “males” can compete with the actual males in the men’s divisions, too, but...well...they’d never win.

USA Fencing states that it goes by International Olympic rules.

(And no, the real women are NOT happy about it, though they are afraid to say anything.)

Madnees.

Regards,

I think the transgenders should be using the faculty restroom. That will enhance the “self-esteem” of the transgendered kids, and will save the cost of building more restrooms. (It would also protect the normal kids from the weirdos, but that is not the “spin” you want to use in CA.)

All males should start dressing in full burqas and declare that they want to be identified as Islamic-lesbians who demand the use of female restrooms/lockers/showers.
