Helms was amazing.
But in all truth, Cruz is more intelligent, and while he can be fierce and forceful, he can be winsome as well.
Did you hear how he recently gave the keynote at the New York GOP (yes...New York...not South Carolina or Georgia...)?
Seems folks were falling all over themselves to give the NY GOP chairman checks for $10K, $25K, whatever after hearing Cruz!
As great as Helms was...he never did that in places like New York.
Now Cruz is not as winsome as Reagan. But...he might be as close to Reagan as anyone since then. Perhaps even a cross between Helms and Reagan.

Personally I don’t really think Rand Paul is that into amnesty but he’s allowed himself to be pressured into taking an immigration position because he wants to run for President.
