Former Bush White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said he was “proud” to defend President Barack Obama in his massive surveillance of the Internet, likening it to making people walk through metal detectors at airports.

“The fundamental notion of is it good for this country if the United States government is collecting massive information in an attempt to find small numbers of individual people who could do us harm?” Fleisher told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Friday, where he debated Guardian columnist Glenn Greenwald, who broke the story.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

“It reminds me, Anderson of other things we’ve accepted in life, such as going through airports. All innocent people go through metal detectors. Innocent people take off their shoes. Why? To find an occasional one or two bad people, and frankly, we haven’t had that in recent years.”

Last week The Guardian of London and The Washington Post reported that the National Security Agency had a program that allowed the federal government to tap into servers of major U.S. companies such as Google, AOL and Facebook to scoop out communications that could lead to tracking foreign nationals suspected of terrorism....

If there’s one thing the two parties have in common, it’s love of governmental overreach.

RINO’s him and the others who defend spying on us while attacking the man who told us obama was lying.

What we have is two parties, they have slight difference and we have us.

The ruling elitist class care about their power and wealth while we are used to elect them , well no more and maybe that is why they want millions of illegals to come in and change the country

Anyone who defends these Unconstitutional Acts is the enemy. Make no mistake about it.

Take names. Make notes. (you got that NSA?)

Someone might want to tell Ari La La Land about the Boston bombers. The Russians knew they were dangerous. Obama and Ari’s boys didn’t. Probably listening to too many conservatives and TEA Party people threw them off of their game.

Here's where the apparatchiks blow it. BOTH systems are f'd up. We need to profile the perps, not shakedown the whole bloomin country. I KNOW there's a risk, but there always is.
1. Profile the perp-class to the hilt;
2. NEVER tell the public how you're doing it, where or when.
3. Let good ole natural-born vigilantism do the rest.

Get the government back inbounds on the Bill of Rights. Good grief!

How the hell did the “feds” miss the Boston Duo? They even got a heads-up from both Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Let's say “we” capture a Talibunny and get his cell phone with the contact numbers. You mean NSA can't track down those numbers and then go in a further 100 generations without downloading 100,000,000 verizon customers' phone records? I find that difficult to believe.

So he was a former Bush something. A competent writer would tell us what he is doing now.

Don't these peckerwoods realize that Obama has redefined the enemy as patriots, veterans, tea partiers, and pro-Constitutionalists.

We either have a new definition of stupid...or we are looking at the face of Obama's communist fellow travelers.

I don't think the Bush family is Communist...but something here just doesn't make sense.

Ari Fleischer

Lawrence Ari Fleischer (born October 13, 1960) is a former White House Press Secretary for U.S. President George W. Bush, from January 2001 to July 2003. Today, he works as a media consultant for the NFL,[2] Bowl Championship Series, and other various sports organizations and players through his company, Ari Fleischer Sports Communications.[3] He is also an international media consultant to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.[4][5] He helped Mark McGwire in his media strategy for his admission of steroid usage. He was also briefly hired by Tiger Woods to help him with a strategy to make his entrance back on the PGA Tour, but was not retained after news stories surfaced promoting his representation of Woods. He was hired by the Green Bay Packers as a consultant in August 2008.

The more of this crap I see and hear, the more I feel that the late George Wallace was correct. That there really ISN’T a dime’s worth of difference between the 2 parties!

Migraine ~:” Former Bush White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said he was “proud” to defend President Barack Obama ...”

Yeah , I used some of his butter this morning on my bagel.
I think he has had a few too many hits in the head to continue with the NFL though.. thatswhy they got him off the field and up into the press box. </s >
Sure am glad they got him off the field in 2003 , so that he could get groopted in the airport line like the rest of us.
He probably thinks its more fun than Saturday nite , date nite !
And then we wonder why the country is in the fix its in right now .. !
