Scottish Law May Require Social Workers To Be Assigned To All Children (Sotland,UN)

The Scottish Parliament is considering a controversial bill that would assign a social worker to every child born in the country in order to “promote, support or safeguard the well-being of the child or young person.”

The Children and Young People Bill, though well-intentioned, has many critics who believe it infringes too much on the personal nature of child-rearing. According to the bill, every child would be assigned a “named person” other than the parents, but unlike in the case of naming a godparent, the parents do not have a choice of opting not to have one.

Basically when he couldn’t produce ID I threatened to call the police unless he came in, sat down and gave me his superior’s phone nimber. When I called I was transfered to the head of cys. When I didn’t get a satisfactory answer I did call the police. He was arrested and it became a problem for cys.

Under pressure from our pastor and friends and with me starting a new job things settled down. I did however engage in a year long negotiation with cys over being able to get full transcripts of the interviews and 7related material.

Eventually it became too much for me and after I visited and spoke with the head of cys...I believe the head I originally spoke with was removed or resigned ...I let it go.

Which was a mistake. Around a year later there was an incident where children from two very poor families were removed..two mothers and their children living in the same house. I had to testify before the county commissioners and I was interviewed on tv. The findings were that cys was wrong, the children were returned and there was more shake up at cys.

In fact it is operated differently now and has been renamed. Of course I believe it really is pretty much the same as it used to be.

It’s sad how afraid peopel are of their govnerment- We’ll see the same htign happen here in trhe US eventually- gun ban advocates will not rest until the govenrment outlaws guns and weapons- and the people will simply comply out of fear just liek they did in every other coutnry and US state that outlaws guns-

Holy cow- All because a self righteous knowitiall thought htat a child was ‘abused’ if they didn’t have a video game- incredible-

Statistics are beginning to show that kids hwo play video games all day long are overweight, lazy, aren’t phyisically fit, have variosu health problems, and various mental problems due to over stimulation of hteir braisn at an early age durign critical development phases- Even just an hour of TV for very young kids is enough to cause mentaql issues due to over stimulation of brain at too young an age-

Shouldn’t WE be investigating the CYS for chuild abuse for demanding that kids be allwoed to engage in unhealthy activitiesl iek nintendo and video games and hours of TV?

IF that ever happens again- get a goodl awyer right away and see if the system can be sued for demadnign that a child be allowed to engage in harmful activities- and sue the crap out of the system for causing undue stress and sufferign on you and your family- Infact, there probably shoudl be a class action lawsuit agaisnt hte cys-
