Officials Worried Snowden Will Pass Secrets to Chinese
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 06/13/2013 | Bill Gertz

The Pentagon is concerned that a former National Security Agency contractor who is now in Hong Kong will compromise top-secret electronic intelligence programs targeted against China, according to a defense official.

Edward Snowden, the former NSA technician who surfaced in Hong Kong Sunday, worked on highly classified electronic intelligence programs targeting China at the NSA’s Kunia facility in Hawaii.

Snowden’s exact whereabouts are not known. He told the South China Morning Post in an interview published Wednesday that he plans to remain in the former British colony, something that likely would upset U.S.-China relations. “My intention is to ask the courts and people of Hong Kong to decide my fate,” he was quoted as saying.

Hong Kong is led by a chief executive who follows Beijing’s dictates on all security and foreign policy matters.

Snowden also provided documents to the newspaper showing that NSA has been hacking into computers in Hong Kong and in mainland China since 2009. None revealed data on Chinese military systems, he said.

According to the report, Snowden claimed there were “hundreds” of NSA intelligence targets in Hong Kong and the mainland.

“We hack network backbones—like huge internet routers, basically—that give us access to the communications of hundreds of thousands of computers without having to hack every single one,” he said.

Hey you stupid Pentagon A-holes, China already knows everything we know. Most of their spies are working at U.S. companies and some of them white and working for Obama.

They are not going after him because Nero thinks or knows he has major dirt on his gang. PERIOD.

He sent that message loud and clear with his first interview. Come after me and the flood gates open.

He probably copied a few hundred thousand dossiers of specific info. compiled on American Citizens.

This is just the 21st Century version of the FBI Files the Clintons used to blackmail and bribe with back in the 90s.

I think the government is more worried about what else he’ll tell the American people.

He's in China now, and The Pentagon is concerned that he's pass secrets on to the Chinese?

When, exactly, did the United States officially make the transformation from Constitutional Republic to Idiocracy? (Okay -- November, 2008!)

Bull-carp! Officials are worried that more American citizens will wake up to the treason that our politicians have committed against American citizens.

That and the fact that they are blackmarketing Network Routers and Switches with back doors in them so they need no boots on the ground.

Thanks for ID’ing the uniform worn by Gen. Keith B. Alexander, director of the National Security Agency and head of the U.S. Cyber Command, as Army. I think I'm getting a little paranoid; I wondered if NSA had its own uniforms and was another Homeland Security-type force.

And how would that be worse than Obama having them?

Well, because the Chinese are out to compromise America's security and the economy and slowly erode our global importance, and President Obama wouldn't...well he...never mind.

The problem with the NSA collecting all that data on US citizens, is that it creates an extremely valuable asset for foreign hackers to steal or search. That data should never ever even exist.

Another issue I have with this whole mess is these contractors. This one contractor made almost $6 billion off taxpayers and there are hundreds of companies contracting out for taxpayer dollars.

So give him immunity and let him testify in front of congress in a semi public forum. Let him pull up some of the documents subpoenaed by congress that DOJ of WH has refused to provide. Win win

Snowden also provided documents to the Chinese and some other dimwits right here on FR still think this is Snowden protecting our interests.

He’s proving he’s had a huge chip on his shoulder and laying blame on anyone one else for his own failures....now he’s going to play payback.

This guy is one dangerous individual...no telling who else he’s going to target....this isn’t just about the US Gov. this guy is on a roll and thinks he’s going to control our Gov. and anyone who stands in his way....HE”S THE ONE trying to CONTROL.....what a difference a few days can make.

If he does, then maybe we can get a LEGITIMATE birth certificate for "Barry" from them.

Do you really think they have a choice? I think they well know the risk he is...but he’s hanging himself without anyones help.

I wouldn’t be surprised news agencies worldwide, and this with their intelligence organizations, don’t already have this guy in their sight and just letting him run til he hangs himself....then they’ll be no question he’ll be done...

Exactly.

“Free trade” and our lax immigration policies have given the ChiComs everything they wanted - and more.
