Pro-Amnesty Group Uses Superman's 'Illegal Alien' Status to Promote (Amnesty) Cause

A group supporting an open-borders policy on immigration is trying to use the nationwide release of Man of Steel to further its cause. We Are the American Way, a project from Define American, has a new site dubbed "Superman Is an Immigrant" meant to piggyback on the cultural conversation around the superhero film.

"Superman is an American. Like Superman, we are the American way," the site's sub-head reads.

Born on Krypton, he came to this country with the promise of Hope - the symbol he bears on his chest. Many of our families also have a history of immigration. We share Superman’s hope and we continue his fight for truth, justice and the American Way.

The site features images of pro-amnesty supporters holding hand drawn images of the iconic "S" emblazoned on the character's chest.

Define American founder Jose Antonio Vargas wrote a blog on the subject, signing off with a paraphrase of the character's signature line, "In truth and justice," but leaving out "The American Way.

I’ll make a deal with them.

All the illegal invaders that can leap tall buildings in a single bound and are actually faster than a speeding bullet win citizenship.

They get the first test with the speeding bullet at the border.

If they pass that test, they get to put on a cape and jump off the Empire State building. If they can fly they get citizenship.

Superman was adopted and raised by US citizens, nothing illegal about that.

Superman showed up in America as a baby refugee whose home planet had been destroyed. I’m quite sure we could find a way to offer someone like that citizenship, regardless of whether or noe he had any particular superpowers.

Mexico, on the other hand, isn’t destroyed. It’s management is terrible and it’s culture encourages total lawlessness. Those are things that can be fixed. The poeple that want to come here would be better off fixing their own country rather than spreading their plague here.

Superman is not a human being, despite his outward appearance, immigration laws do not apply to him.

Another cartoon figure, The Frito Bandito, is closer to the truth.

Aye, aye, aye, aye. I am the Frito Banito. I love Frito’s Corn Chip, I love them, I do. I love Frito’s Corn Chips, I take them from you.

Kal-El could not return to his home planet. Furthermore, he had special skills that would be valuable to the United States. Also, he was not bringing in his entire family.

However, he hid his undocumented cousin Kara for some time. I doubt he received permission ftom Canada/Norway/Russia to bring 10,000,000 Kansorians into the Fortress of Solitude.

Actually, since Krypton isn’t a Hague Convention country, he needs an I-600, not 800.

Superman is not a human being, despite his outward appearance, immigration laws do not apply to him.

This of course would eventually lead to many unintended consequences stemming from laws changed to allow him to marry Lois Lane.

Under longstanding FR rules, Kara is automatically Not Guilty.

Also Laz hit-it worthy.

“Superman ia a Fictional Character” PING

Fictional like the so called “American DREAM” for illegal aliens

Mexicans are entitled to their own Mexican dream..

American dreams are for Americans..

Superman’s parents never snuck him over the border into Amertica..

they died back in their own country/planet

they sent their refugee baby out into the unknown in the hope that he would survive on another planet...

any baby from another destroyed planet like Krypton is welcome to stay as a refugee like the baby “Supertboy” did and be adopted by Americans like the Kents...

However all illegal aliens from this planet must go back home to their own countries...

PS Nobody has suggested they go to Krypton..

I dont think the Krypton authorities would have put up with their brazen in-your-face criminal shinanigans anyway...

a riot like they did at Congressman Steve King’s office and they would be in the Krypton hoosegow before they could say “steenkin rules”

Let's see - he saves millions with his powers and his planet exploded, leaving him with no place else to go. As soon as Mexico explodes and becomes inhabitable, and those who originated there start doing good without committing crimes, I'm all for letting them make their way without going on the governmenttax payer dole.

I never though of this before. Now I have to rethink my whole world view.

Superman jumped ahead in line and flew over the border.
Neither he nor Clark Kent had papers, they were both ‘undocumented’.

Superman saved plenty of Grandma's and Babies and Clark Kent paid SS taxes.

We need to repent our zenaphobic ways now before its too late, before we chase Superman away and he moves to Hong Kong or Russia.

REPENT! SAY 'I AM UNDOCUMENTED TOO. WE SHALL STAND TOGETHER'.....DA-DA-DA.
