Not much is truly known about where House Speaker John Boehner stands on immigration reform. He says he wants it done, but has barely waded into the policy.
But in a closed meeting with his closest Capitol Hill allies a group informally known as Team Boehner hes giving more clues.
Rubio talked about the Senate Gang of Eight immigration bill, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Boehner didnt heavily weigh in on the legislation, but the fact that he would welcome Rubio in to talk about the bill. shows that the speaker is actively gaming out the issue.
Boehner has told colleagues and staff that he wants to pass some sort of immigration bill through the House before the August recess. The Judiciary Committee is set to mark up some small-bore immigration measures this month.

I say we fire the players on Team Boehner at the ballot box.
Hatching the final scheme, no doubt, to push the Rubio/Schumer amnesty travesty through the House.
Are they going to discuss ILLEGAL immigration?
two slime bags
I can hardly believe that as much as the Republican Party owes conservatives for the success it’s had, we always end up with charlatans and toadies like McConnell and Boehner.
It seems like a bad dream that never ends.
Oh, is this the big meeting Glenn Beck was talking about?

Rubio: “Hey John. What am I going to do about those pesky conservatives that are holding me to my campaign promises?”
John: “Scroo ‘em. I did, and I’m having the time of my life here in DC. The booze and the girls are something else...”
Both are enemies, IMO.
If Amnesty is awarded to the law breaking ILLEGALS, bullets will fly at them and their friends in Congress. It will be the trigger for the next Civil War which will take place between those who earn and support themselves and those who “rule” and live off the work of others (inner city welfare types and illegal immigrants).
Yep...and 0's showing Tammy Fae Bonehead more private emails and phone calls and flashing the Special Interest $$...to solidify the deal.

Contact your congresscritters and let them know YOU know. Alert all the people you can to do the same.
John: Scroo em. I did, and Im having the time of my life here in DC. The booze and the girls are something else...
Limbaugh just said again that he really likes Marco Rubio and he hopes Marco isn’t tainted by this immigration stuff. Rush needs to denounce Rubio and stop supporting his political career
El Rubio lied on Rush's show (and Levin's) and I cannot understand why Rush and Mark continue to give this traitor a pass on this.
We end up with gutless, spineless weasels like boner and mcconeel because not enough GOOD PEOPLE with guts turn to government for their jobs.
what would boner and mcconel do in the private sector if they had never been in government?
They will do whatever carl rover tells them to and bend over and let the dimorats that THEY call friends, continue to SCREW this country. They will do it because they have a tiny sliver of power and influence and don’t want to risk it by actually doing something that goes against what the dimorats want.
Don’t be too hard on Boehner. He’s playing good defense. He’s having his team use regular order, which is the sausage grinder, to carve out his own version of fixes to the immigration system. So if a Senate bill ever gets near him, he’ll have something with which he can set his own terms, and not just be pressured to accept the terms set by any bill that gets through the Senate.
For every day the Senate bill doesn’t get through, there’s less pressure on the House. It’s McConnell’s, Cornyn’s, Sessions’ and Grassley’s battle for now.
Looks like Rubio is really really pushing hard to be the guy that the GOPe establishment shoves down our throats instead of Jeb....
If this is the best republicans can do as far as “leadership” then the party deserves to DIE.
Freaken life long pubbie here and I’m embarrassed.
Ahem, sponsors, cough, sponsors, ahem ...
