In his remarks, another gang of eight member, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), noted during the same debate: "As much as it pains me, I cannot support this amendment if it will bring down the bill."

Pandering POS Schumer.....

There's something liberal that Rubio won't support? Surprise, surprise.

Marco, as far as I'm concerned you might as well don the pink tutu and shimmy for your new masters. My vote isn't coming back to you. Amnesty was a permanent buzzkill.

Looking for a way back from the edge, Marco?

Seeing your political future run away from you, are you?

Don't worry. Hannity still likes you, possibly Limbaugh, but I think Levin has had enough.

I look forward to hearing him tear what's left of your poser reputation into little bitty pieces to go with your similarly sized integrity.

Before this is over, Marco Rubio will be caught wearing his wife’s clothes and on a date with Leahy.

You might as well Rubio, we’re going to tell everyone you did anyway.

There was a time when I actually liked this guy, but that was before he started sleeping with the democrats.

This just shows that Rubio is a ruthless negotiator against Dems. He is not going to cut them a single break for a minute. He is watching them like a hawk and that bill too. He has our back.
They (dems) will have a bitter pill to swallow when Rubio gets done with them, and w this bill.

Hail Marco our King!

Yeah, that’s his bridge too far. Real border security amendment tabled without so much as a word because Chuck Schumer says it’ll take years and years and years to secure the border. Yet his modus operandi has been to delay, delay, delay any border enforcement so that more illegals can come in.

And we had a bill become law to build a fence in 2006 and the funding was quietly pulled by Kay Bailey Hutchinson, who has thankfully been replaced by Ted Cruz.

But gay immigrants are just a bridge too far for Marco Rubio. Does he think he’s fooling people with this?? This is the “ok, we’’ll pull that amendment if you just vote for the bill” gambit. So transparent.

The comedians are going to have a field day with his flip flops (the big lie/or misspeaking in Spanish or was that the truth) and his very own statements on this issue. Rubio was this way in the Florida legislature though he played he was against amnesty. Now, he’s become worse because we see how he really thinks about this issue. He wants his family of hispanics to be able to come out of the shadows.

Republicans should vote present or not vote on this amendment and force democrats to either defeat it and disappoint their gay supporters or to pass it and make the main bill less likely to pass. Why should republicans keep saving the democrats from their foolish tendencies.

Patrick Leahy of Vermont doesn’t have to worry about hordes of Hispanic immigrants, homosexual or otherwise, flooding his state’s voter rolls, taking over dominance of Vermont’s Democratic party, and pushing him out of the Senate in favor of an Hispanic-American replacement.

However, that’s not true of Chuck Schumer of New York, or Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer of California, or of Democrat Senators in other states with already large Hispanic populations which would be augmented with millions more Hispanic-American voters if the Immigration Bill passes.

As bad as the bill might be, it would at least be likely to cause the end of Chuck Schumer’s career, as millions of New York City Puerto Ricans and other Hispanic residents bring their relatives from Latin America into the Big Apple to join them legally and become voters. Hispanic immigrants: ‘’Si se puede!’’ Chuck Schumer: ‘’Oy vay’’

What an evil stinking government we are saddled with!

It blows millions to educate homosexual activists in foreign countries.

It spends millions to build a 1 million square foot domestic spy center in Utah sporting the most powerful computer system in the world. Thanks to Cisco.

It mines information from telephone conversations and internet usage in order to blackmail the Chief Justice.

It goes on and on and on and the American peoples’ representatives do nothing.

Perhaps we should be lobbying FOR this amendment then??? That’s easily one of the least objectionable things about this monstrosity. If all it takes to get the RINOs off of this is the gay issue, then conservative Senators should let it in.

why even think about voting for this when obama can say he got it passed and he gets credit?

Thanks for allowing me to explain. This amendment was first introduced in the committee marking up the bill and was withdrawn because democrats recognized that, while it appealed to a small number of their core constituency, it certainly did not help with the larger majority. It is being introduced now as a distraction with the expectation that it will be defeated but that the people who oppose it will be labeled as being intolerant. If the Republicans call their bluff and refuse to be baited, the Democrats must either withdraw the amendment and offend their gay constituency or pass it and put their vulnerable members in jeopardy with the large number of voters who certainly don't support the gay agenda.

Remember, the amendment is only a change in the proposed law and doesn't mean anything unless the overall bill is enacted. In the event the bill passes the Senate, it would have virtually no chance in the House if this amendment is included. This is a classic poison pill and it would be poetic justice if the Democrats did it to themselves. The fact that Oboma might preen before his gay supporters means nothing if the bill itself can be defeated.

The bill is poison as is, so I hope they pass that amendment in the Senate. This is a win/win. It’s time for the GOP to go after the urban black vote anyway.

They started as Republicans and it’s through manipulation and a the mendacity of the media that they joined the Slavery Party.

How about vouchers, jobs and self defense as an outreach foundation?
