Obama mining Facebook, Twitter to predict crimes
World Net Daily ^ | June 6, 2013 | Aaron Klein

Clues to the federal government’s reason for collecting the telephone records of millions of Verizon customers may be found in a recently unearthed 2010 project seeking to predict criminal activity using vast quantities of data on citizens mined from social network websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

In February, the Sydney Morning Herald reported the Massachusetts-based multinational corporation, Raytheon – the world’s fifth largest defense contractor – had developed a “Google for Spies” operation.

So now we learn that, starting in 2010, the regime has been running a sophisticated program mining social networking sites to find potential criminals. Wouldn't it be something if it had used this program to discover Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook murderer, and, instead of trying to get him help so he wouldn't hurt himself or somebody else, developed him and encouraged him to perpetrate his hideous atrocity. Indeed, in light of this, it's rather interesting that he destroyed his computer and that no news stories have appeared about what was on it.

If anyone here believes such horrible crimes are beyond the regime, just look at Fast & Furious, which was a mass murder scheme designed to destroy support for the Second Amendment that was probably approved by Holder and Obama. Once it failed to achieve its objective, they had to come up with something else and it surely looks like Sandy Hook was that something.

Gee I wonder who will come out to be criminals with these liberal programs? They have proved global warming to themselves so they can convict anyone of any crime just like IRS decided Tea Party was a criminal group.

The defense contractors are a part of the story that is curiously being ignored.

The fact that James Clapper was himself once an executive with Booz Allen (The company that Edward Snowden worked for) seems an odd thing for everyone to miss. I’m guessing Clapper walked away with a considerable stock portfolio.

The Obama administration doesn’t need to go to the trouble of mining social networks to predict crime. They only need look in the mirror.

Gee. You’d think they could have used Facebook to predict predicted that Treycn Martin was going to commit assault and attempted to murder on George Zimmerman.

“the regime has been running a sophisticated program mining social networking sites to find potential criminals.”

Not long ago, I saw a futuristic movie on TV where the government had the DNA of everyone and they ran it through a program that would identify people who would commit a crime in the future. They would then arrest these people and execute them.

A man was arresting these future criminals but one day his “own” DNA said “he” would commit a crime and then he was on the run not to be caught.

So, our own government is using a program to identify potential criminals. It's only a tiny step from identifying people using Facebook/other social sites, to putting them in prison just as that movie killed them.

I think that the release of this information now is just an effort to scare people away from the FREE communication services. The USPS is bankrupt and the government wants people to go back to using snail mail to support all these federal workers. You can’t hack an envelope. You can’t listen in on an envelope. It is now the safest method of sending private information.
