Sarah Palin: D.C. a 'hot mess'
The Politico ^ | June 15, 2013 | Emily Schultheis

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin outlined her disdain for Washington political culture in a speech Saturday morning, denouncing Democrats’ “religious faith in the power of government” and calling D.C. a “hot mess.”

“The problem is government grown so big that it intrudes into every aspect of our lives. It’s grown so arrogant that it thinks we work for it instead of it works for us,” she said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference in D.C. “The problem is, that these politicos with these religious faith in the power of government and elitist disdain for the rights of people … the scandals infecting this city, they are a symptom of a bigger disease.”

Palin spoke on the final day of the three-day gathering of social conservatives, a crowd by which she’s always been well-received. Her speech comes after Fox News announced that the former vice presidential candidate, who has kept somewhat of a lower profile this year, is returning to the network as a commentator....

The Democrats are drunk on power and most of the republicans want some of it. Amnesty will give them the votes to help finance their privileged life styles for the next 50 years or more as they bleed our country dry. Of course, every dictator needs a scapegoat - target the Christians (the real ones).

No, no, no.

You misheard her, she's actually for amnesty, I've been assured this over and over by quite a few on here, supposed quote after quote of what someone here wanted to believe she was thinking. They were quite certain they knew. They even posted in blue to make their case clear.

What was that you said, "squirming", and "spinning"?

Well guess who owes the entire FR board an apology?

Hey now, you KNOW what I'm talking about.

A certain member of the board was wrong, he criticized her for something HE believed she believed, quoted her endlessly and would listen to nobody who tried to explain why he might not be correct. He wouldn't even stop for a whole day after he was asked to move on very politely.

Well, she doesn't support this bill, it's clear, it's in this speech dead center, so what does a real man do when he is shown he's wrong?

Huge good news that she’s calling the disastrous amnesty bill what it is—just in time for her return to Fox News.

She looks rested and ready to get back in the arena again, and I hope she leads a one-woman crusade to 1) kill the amnesty bill, 2) replace the GOP with a new conservative/libertarian coalition, 3) get a GOP senate elected for 2014 and 4) win the presidency in 2016.

I haven’t said she supported this bill. I said she supported things very similar to what is this bill.

Did you notice how much time she spent on this nation ending bill?

One sentence fella... that was it. I’ll bet you were yawning before that sentence was over. Very boring stuff huh.

Democrats’ “religious faith in the power of government” and calling D.C. a “hot mess.”

Sarah Palin gets it right.

Government is the God of democrats.

we are fighting an extremely evil cult, the Democrat party

The enemy of the American people is the democrat party. The democrat party controls

1. the news media
2. hollwywood
3. the presidency
4. The senate
5. the gov bureaucracies
5. the unions
7. the universities
8. the schools
9. soros , Lewis, zuckerberg, msny other billionaires are democrats.
10. Obama the main tyrant is a democrat
11. silicon valley, Google etc. are democrats
12. Pelosi, REid, fienstein, Shumer, Durbin , Lois lerner r democrats
13 . the rest of the media
14. IRS , EPA, DHS, HHS, TSA, FBI, etc.
15. liberals control the supreme Court( they approved Obamacare)
15 . Democrats control all the political money .Soros, tides foundation, gov grants,Zuckerberg,Lewis (another billionaire. moveon.org,unions etc.

Democrat party controls all this and more but the media and many others say that everything is the Republicans fault even though r’s have only a few votes majority in the House and that’s it

Democrats want to makes slaves of all Americans, turn us into cattle with less rights than a cow or farm chicken for them to manipulate.

Yeah, but that sentence devastated everything you've been saying.

Brevity is the soul of wit. Man up, you were wrong.

I don't honestly understand what she doesn't like in the current bill.  It seems to me that it remains rather true to what her stated policy has been.

It would serve her well to address this bill, object to it, and explain why her stated policy is better.  It seems to me she hurts her own credibility by not doing so.

To clarify, so
you support a path to citizenship for undocumented (illegal aliens) immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

You really need to read up about the different reactions to cognitive dissonance.

You're clearly displaying the most common one: Doubling down on what you believe (even though you were just shown it's NOT TRUE).

Good luck with that one........

Exactly! And the same government, enchanted with its forest of gigabytes of data (what am I saying - terabytes!), couldn’t see the single tree of Maj. Nissal Hassan radicalizing before their eyes.
