I’ll be saying a prayer and remembering all the sacrifices he made and hard work he did for us. Passed away 11/3/2011, God Bless!

As I BBQ ( or grill for those who call slow cooked meat BBQ, which is the correct definition), in my house. And
seeing how it is my day, the wife will make a big pot of spaghetti sauce.
Now that’s Italian

My father, AAF pilot, awarded the DFC, died on 21 Dec 1988, the day Pan Am 103 went down. I visited his grave last weekend to pay my respects.

Dittos.. I'll never reach all that my dad accomplished. He gave his all for us, and gave even more to his country as a vigilant intelligence analyst / photo interpreter (CCCP vs. USA, including Cuban Missile crisis).. He also met almost every high-profile American astronaut I can think of. Nuclear scientist Edward Teller.. Kissinger, and numerous high-ranking Generals.. Etc. Anyway, I'm glad he's not here to see America's death slide to collapse. He loved this country more than most people can possibly comprehend and his health suffered greatly from 0bama's DAILY barage of intolerable comments and actions. Too numerous to mention now. The 'unfathomable' is a daily reality now. NEWSFLASH: The U.S. is siding with Al Qaeda Christian-Killers in Syria. 0bama putting our soldiers side-by-side with these animals is traitorous. NOT ACCEPTABLE!

God Bless you, Dad. I hope you're having nice chats with other fellow FReepers' fathers, perhaps watching John Wayne movies, and get to be with every single dog we ever had that have also passed. He loved his dogs!

I'm sure our deceased dads are collectively praying to beat back the evil forces now threatening America, and their loved ones still here.

I'll think about dad and grand-dad early in the morning before the sun rises. They are both dead of cancer.

I'll say my prayers before sunrise, sneak back to the house to put up the flag while the local base plays the National Anthem at 0800, and then avoid my child/grandchildren for as long as they don't find me. ;)

We play hard around here.

It's going to be the Same Ole' Same ole', going to work for 8 hours of double time to just maintain our lifestyle in our "no inflation" economy that has been eroding our buying power for years.

Church, followed by smoking ribs in the afternoon. I’ll tend the smoker and sit on my butt for a nice lazy Sunday with my family.

Lost Dad in 1999. He sacrificed everything so we kids wouldn’t have to struggle like he did growing up.

Miss him every minute of every day.

Will take “dad” (husband/father of kids) out. Another great guy who really looks after, pays attention to, plays with and LOVES his kids. (willing to play “girly” games with the girls, wrestle, play ball with boys — and is NEVER too tired, even if he is, LOL).

Reminds me of MY dad...

Buried my father in 1986 on my birthday. Will never forget that. And I still call him “Daddy”.
