Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said the Senate's "special interest" immigration bill rewards "rule breakers" and was not the way to rebuild a conservative majority in America of people who want to restore the country's founding principles.

Actually, most of the quotes are from her being a loyal veep candidate, the other is from a disjointed interview with Bill O that he takes out of context because he hates her.

He refuses to believe her later comments about her supporting the AZ law are more important, or her consistent comments that we should enforce the laws on the books.

He refuses to believe she does not support this bill, even though it's now evident she took a shot across the bow of those who DO support it.

It's very sad.

The only reason Germany had to invade other countries is because they kept running out of other people’s money so they needed more people to take it from.

When Palin was running with McCain, she may have thought differently, in Alaska I doubt they have a huge problem with illegals coming from Mexico and swimming to Alaska..but she has traveled the country, gone to Arizona, seen how horrible it is here in California, maybe she saw a new perspective on things..once you actually see the border and see illegals crossing it every second of everyday you get a new perspective on the whole situation. Just because she had a different view a few years ago doesn’t mean she shares that same view now

Of course not. Both parties at the national level want total government. They have the IRS and NSA in place for turnkey totalitarianism. They want to add some more law breaking foreigners who will tolerate corruption and oppressive government.

Darn right, AND they are ignoring the Selective Service Law. That law specifies one of the penalties is, ‘MAY NOT receive citizenship’(in addition to: no FED BENEFITS, no FED JOBS, no STUDENT LOANS).

Sarah Palin does not seem to support the current Amnesty bill as her statement made TODAY shows. The only thing that matters is she is against this Amnesty bill.
It does matter that Palin's stated policy is to support a Pathway to Citizenship for illegal immigrants.  She says in one breath, no rewards, and in the next breath they will be legalized the moment they register.

Hey DoughtyOne innstead of you attacking Sarah how about attacking this communist Villain Obama and his using the IRS to rig elections and suppress conservative votes
Okay, so it's your take that I have been here for fifteen years, and have never taken Obama to task.  Is that about it?  I take Obama to task all the time.  So do most of the other forum participants.  If there's a thread with 300 posts on it taking him to task, and a thread with nobody mentioning Palin's immigration stance, which one should I spend time on?

I agree with Sarah Palin
Okay, then you're for Pathway to Citizenship, and instant legalization by signing one registration form?  Really?

The current Amnesty bill must be stopped.call congress.
Okay, great.  I agree.

30 million illegals get Amnesty to vote in 2014 election
Yep, I agree.  And Pathway to Citizenship guarantees what in your opinion?

those 30 million can bring in 50 million more of their relatives still in the 3rd world.
Yep, exactly right.  And it's why I stridently disagree with Pathway to Citizenship, and legalization on the day they sign their registration form.  They are immediately changed in that instant, from an illegal resident to a legal resident.  Does that sound good to you?

30 million more illegals will invade to do the “under the table” jobs
That's right.  And so I object to instant legalization and Pathway plans.

untold millions will cross into the USA to get in on the Amnesty bonanza.
Okay, but what is pathway other than that?  So they may not get to vote in 2016, but by 2020 they do.  Is that okay?

if this bill passes the USA is done
If Pathway to Citizenship or instant legal residency once you are registered passes, it's also a nation killer.

these representatives in Congress are traitors against Americans .
I agree.  I speak out against that too.  Why can't you understand that Pathway is just as insideous?

What do we do sit here and complain on the Internet when we should be protesting in the streets, outside of Congress as they prepare to give Amnesty to these immigrant creeps.protests, marches, no we sit here while they take our country away.
Excuse me, but you're sitting here.  Why shouldn't I be able to?  Isn't it true that you wouldn't even be discussing this with me, if I had simply said, "Go Sarah!"  Because I did object to her stated policy, I'm now admonished to get out on the streets.  I don't mind doing that, but why do we have to ignore it when our side reveals they have bad policy too?

At least we should be calling Congressmen non stop, emailing , twitter ,paper letters( an effective method) etc.
I agree.  I have no problem with that.  And I would appreciate it if you folks would contact Sarah and ask her to please renounce her support for pathway and instant legalization.

I am writing something up to give these congressmen a piece of my mind

Get over yourself!!! You’re a broken record! The only thing Sarah was told that she could have a different policy issue on as part of the McCain ticket was drill baby drill. Everything else was the platform of the nominee and that’s what all VP candidates espouse - the nominees policies.

Okay fine. That may very well be true. Is it wrong for me to point out her last known oral interview in which she voices support for Pathway and Instant Legalization?

If we criticize Obama for something his did a couple of years back, do we say to ourselves that “oh, he’s probably changed his mind, so nevermind”, or do we consider his last word on the matter to still be his view?

Palin didn’t make any clarifying remarks today, related to her own stated policy. If she had, I’d agree with you.

If you know of a more recent interview, please link me to it. I’m will to read it, take a look and give her credit for it if she has changed.

that statement was never necessarily her policy. That was said in Oct 2008 when she was still running with McCain and obviously singing his tune. You can’t really read much into that.

I mean look at Paul Ryan. He supported Romney who was against a path and now we find out he’s literally Mr Amnesty, even marching with Luis Guitierrez in Chicago.

What she said as the VP nominee is really irrelevant.

Here’s a slightly more recent interview with O’Reilly on where she’s clearly stating her own views and it takes a much harder stance on the issue.

She never mentions the word citizenship, says that we have to learn from Reagan’s mistake in 86, is very tough on securing the boarder and deporting folks, and at most seems to call for some sort of guest worker program to be figured out to deal with those already here.

Aside from that 2010 interview she hasn’t said much, but based on today she did indicate which direction she’s leaning

It's the clear implication of every single post you've made to me in the past day. You've been quoting this old stuff at me (and others) for far longer than that, refusing to acknowledge she doesn't believe in amnesty or this bill, constantly trying to PROVE to us all she believes what you wanted to think she believes, that she's the same as McCain, yada yada yada.

How's that cognitive dissonance going for you? Your anger at being shown how wrong you were is very disturbing.
