I own the Internet.
Believe whatever you wish. It’s all mine.
And thanks for being a user.

If that’s the case, could you stop people from excerpting to their blogs?

The government would regulate your thoughts if they could. Eventually they will have so many hooks in the web that we’ll be like flies caught in it.

If thats the case, could you stop people from excerpting to their blogs? I certainly could.
And by way of compensation, could you provide an easy
and free way for me to occupy a few minutes of dull time by jacking
with folks who disobey some minor aspect of protocol that really
matters to me and only very few others?
No thanks.
I'll let 'em live because they are interesting targets.

“no ownership” and “common ownership” mean “government ownership”. It simply hasn’t been asserted. When it is, it will hasten universal citizenship. imho.

Whoever wrote this article has absolutely no clue about TCP/IP, protocol routing, traffic shaping, QOS, port filtering and other basic concepts about how the Internet actually works.

Absolutely. Look at the rag in which it was published. It’s all about governments, international orgs and regulation. These people don’t give a damn about technical details. They want CONTROL!
